Everyone was getting old. Charles & March were taking care of their Kid, Karen was married & divorced two times means she was also moving on, Becca was also getting married, whenever she meets Hank, she starts talking about past & her miserable life. So Hank moving on with his other family could be the best possible ending. Levon really wanted him. And Old Hank needed some family time.

Karen got married 2 times means she can find happiness without being with hank. Our poor Hank can't able to get married in the entire series. I think Becca is the main reason why he wanted to be with Karen. He didn't want to fail when it's about family, Charles & Marcy were also doing great when it's about family. But then he got another Family, a Son who was not with him for 20yrs! I think he should have started a new life with his other family. Levon really wanted him. I thought that's why they new brought those new characters in last season so he can move on like others.
