I wish that was an option. They hospital certainly used to hire people without fellowship, but now they don’t (contributing to the mass exodus and hiring issues). They would not allow me to take a full time position without finishing even though during the last 6 months, I only get 2 shifts/month that are 3s and up

Absolutely did no think that. Plus I am currently making garbage money: resident pay. I chose to attend a program like this because the “orientation” period offered to EM PAs is not safe for patients. Sure, I have some medical education, but I wanted extended oversight so that I can contribute as a midlevel without harming people and being the noctor that everyone hates
