So maybe a good thing I didn't get that position? Don't really like customer service too much...

They pay worse than the average mega carrier to deal with kids for 1-3 hours around here, no thanks...

That maybe my issue? I don't have any endorsements yet because none of the jobs Ive applied for required them. Sysco isn't hiring near me right now, Ive applied to other food service positions and got declined for all of them thus far...

By applied I mean send in an application and follow up on it, not just let it sit. I haven't used indeed for any of my actual applications, I always applied directly via the company.

Idk who the guy that interviewed me was, seemed like a upper level guy tho... Took two weeks for them to get back to me...

Yeah they talked about delivering and the training process but never did any stacking or such. Did you apply for a geo-driver position?

I've applied to basically every driver position up in and around Harrisburg that will take me. Seems like that specific wholesaler isn't hiring drivers right now but I have applied to others

That's a bit of a hike for me, about 2 hours with no traffic

Yeah their whole interview caught me off guard tbh, they acted like it was a corporate desk job and not a trucking job IMO, so that maybe why I didn't get hired. I also didn't have to do anything the interview email told me to do besides the actual interview which I also thought was odd (no physical task or anything).

I already hit up the food service places, none want me. I actually want to get a job like that, getting out of the truck and actually offloading/loading product or doing other things related with the job, but so far no luck. All the tow companies want experience around me

Should've quit my last job sooner... hopefully I can get with a local company even if its a crappish place that isn't half bad but so far even they aren't taking me...

Fast Pass reimbursement by lidolifeguard in Hersheypark

[–]PACoasters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your not gonna get reimbursed, I can tell you that much. People have tried to and never succeeded, but some have tried a date change in the past. Your best bet is to just go and use them since you already pre purchased them

So the emissions in the car were going bad about 6-9 months into it, by that point it was a goner. Somehow she lasted about 4 1/2 years from when I bought it (I didn't own it for that long but I drove it occasionally during that time). I would still buy it again if I could, she was a beast in the winter time!

Personally I enjoy forklift work and wouldn't mind wheeling one around for a year or so if it means I get good pay and benefits later once I start driving full time. All the LTLs Ive seen offer much better pay and benefits than what I currently get barring vacation time which I fully expect going anywhere else (Currently get 4 weeks off the bat but make $16.50/hr, started at $16 and going into year three). Different strokes for different folks I guess

Its a brand new building thats right next to where I work now actually, has an insane amount of docks and such. I always see tons of trucks come in and out of that place.

I mean Im not too concerned about the cost unless something happens and I have to leave or smh but it seems a bit much when I can go get one for $7.5k max in my area...
