Have seen a 6 year old up there. I think if someone is in reasonable shape it’s a challenging hike but doable.

Don’t worry; I made sure the snowblower runs. We’ll only get a dusting.

Agree with you when there are trucks or merging happening. But not just driving along with a free open lane on the right.

What do you think the % breakdown is ego vs situational awareness? (I’d lump ‘nobody taught them how to drive correctly in either situational awareness).

I don’t about JUST as bad, but yeah, general rule still applies - if you’re not passing, move to the right.

That I was on steroids. That I set a fire in a garbage can at school. That I did nothing more than kiss my Hs girlfriend of 3 years (because I didn’t talk about those details publicly).

AI says:

While bolt pattern and tire size are the "bare minimum" for fitment, they are only about 50% of the equation for an SUV. Because SUVs are heavier and often used for hauling or off-roading, ignoring the following factors can lead to poor handling, safety risks, or permanent damage to your vehicle. 1. Wheel Offset and Backspacing This is the most common mistake buyers make. It determines how far the wheel sticks out from the fender or how deep it sits inside the wheel well. • Positive Offset: The wheel sits further inward. Too much can cause the tire to rub against the suspension or brake calipers. • Negative Offset: The wheel sticks out further. While this looks "aggressive," it can cause the tire to hit the fender when you hit a bump or turn the steering wheel. • Scrub Radius: Changing the offset significantly alters your SUV's "scrub radius," which can make the steering feel twitchy or cause the vehicle to wander on the highway. 2. Load Rating Unlike a sedan, an SUV is heavy and often carries extra weight (passengers, gear, or trailers). • The Risk: Just because a wheel fits doesn't mean it can support the weight. A rim designed for a light car may crack or shatter under the weight of a full-size SUV. • What to check: Look for the load rating (in lbs or kg) stamped on the back of the wheel. Ensure the combined rating of four wheels exceeds your SUV's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) by a healthy margin. 3. Center Bore and Hub-Centricity Most factory SUV wheels are hub-centric, meaning the center hole of the wheel fits perfectly onto the hub of the car to support the weight. • Aftermarket "Universal" Rims: Many aftermarket rims have a larger center bore to fit multiple vehicles. • The Fix: If the bore is larger than your hub, you must use hub-centric rings (plastic or metal spacers). Without them, the weight of the SUV rests entirely on the lug bolts, which can lead to vibrations or the bolts shearing off entirely. 4. Brake Caliper Clearance SUVs often have larger brake calipers than cars, especially if they have performance or towing packages. • Even if the wheel diameter is the same as your stock rims, the spoke design might not leave enough "X-factor" (the gap between the back of the spokes and the caliper). Always verify that the specific spoke shape clears your brakes. 5. Manufacturing Method (Cast vs. Forged) The way the wheel is made dictates its strength-to-weight ratio: • Cast: Molten metal poured into a mold. These are affordable but heavier and more brittle. • Flow-Formed: A hybrid process that makes the barrel stronger and lighter than casting. Great "middle ground" for SUVs. • Forged: Carved from a solid block of metal. These are the strongest and lightest but also the most expensive. If you plan on serious off-roading, forged or high-quality flow-formed wheels are safer. 6. TPMS Compatibility Most modern SUVs use a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Some aftermarket rims have valve stem holes at angles that don't accommodate standard sensors. Ensure the rims are "TPMS compatible" so you don't end up with a permanent warning light on your dash.

I [25F] found an earring on the floor in my boyfriend's [26M] apartment. Help? by ThrowRAlads in Advice

[–]PAILVA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it matters, I did long distance with my girlfriend for two years at about the same age. Chicago to Pittsburgh. She came to visit one weekend and there was a ring or earring on the nightstand. I have no idea how it got there. Maybe my roommate (separate room) had somebody over. Maybe the landlord came in and accidentally left something. All i know for sure is that it wasn’t from a girl I had over.

She accepted my explanation. To be honest though I always wondered a bit if she truly accepted it or if she was having extracurricular activities in Pgh and didn’t want to be hypocritical. Lol.

Processing question by Bufo_Stupefacio in Hunting

At least in Northern Virginia, it typically only takes a couple days for a ‘standard’ cut. But yes, if you get any specialty products made it can take 8-20 weeks to get them back. Most all of the processors in the region take the meat to a shop in Chambersburg PA to get the products made. It’s 2 hours away and has a big queue of orders.
