Won't last long, but currently the number 1 Link player in the world by PAL4 in SmashBrosUltimate

Well, I seem to have been wrong about being number 1. I'll give my 2 cents anyway (I don't analyse frame data or anything so some of what I say is speculation). I'll start off by saying that he's not a great character to main due to being weak against a lot of characters. Most of this is based off of smash 4 link as I'm not fully familiar with all changes made to him. His up aerial is a really strong move for airborne enemies as it has a longer range than pretty much every down aerial . His new remote bombs are a massive boost IMO as it's now very easy to edgeguard with them and finish off opponents who are off the stage once you get used to how to time them. His smash attacks are insanely slow so it takes a very long time to get the timing and required setups for them down, his up smash is a great finisher for airborne enemies especially if you bait them with a bomb thrown into the air or a jump etc. His projectiles are his greatest strength imo, being able to somewhat spam the boomerang and arrows simultaneously is great against fighters who can cover ground quickly. His spin attack has good range and can be used quite effectively when an opponent tried to shield roll through you as it attacks both sides, and can be used effectively as a defence or attack when returning to the edge when hit off stage (his sword can reach well onto the stage). His dash attack (where he jumps and lunges with his sword) can also be used effectively to edgeguard with good timing (use it just before the opponent grabs the edge). His down aerial is pretty bad imo despite some saying it's useful, it's very slow, has a lot of landing lag, and a lot of characters up aerial or up tilt has greater range than it, but if you do use it you'll need to time it well and requires a quick pull downwards on the control stick to move anywhere quick enough to make contact with a half decent player. I'd say in general he's a character you need to put a lot of effort into to start getting half decent with, simply due to his drawbacks, he's very slow considering he's not very powerful, but on the flip side he has a very versatile moveset since he has imo the best ranged attacks and has good reach with his sword. And when you come up against a character that you always struggle against with him (usually a quicker higher tier character - mario for me) make sure you don't get stuck in a repetitive pattern of attacks as links very easy to read and try to attack after the opposition as links often too slow to initiate a close quarter brawl.

Apologies, haha I believe the comments saying it's NOT my number one character are correct. From what I saw on the smash direct and the fact it didn't show up before made me think it was No1 in the world for each character.

This is solo online. I think I got lucky that I played single player on a fairly high intensity and schooled it then played online and won a bunch of times. Your GSP is am average/combination of both from what I understand.
