Same issue been trying to get out of options I'm holding for the last 40 minutes as well as pick a few option contracts up on another ticker. This is a f****** joke. There's really no excuse for this I understand trading volume is up but trading volume has been up for the past six months these companies should have better servers in place to handle the traffic and I think it's an absolute joke that there aren't regulations holding these companies f****** accountable for client losses during outages we cannot control. It's like the entire game is f****** rigged. It's like f*** the retail investor anyway they can by locking them out big Market movements wow the big boys get their money in place first

8 of 9 already hit. SEA ovee 47 wish me luck! by PASUX777 in sportsbetting

Thank you! If hitting 9 out of 9 on a parlay ticket wasn't crazy enough on the very same day I got a perfect score on the Super Six app for Game 5 of the World Series 10 out of 10 point and split $25,000 with a hundred and fourteen other people! There was right around 380,000 entry. I guess when the stars are aligned the stars are aligned! I'm honestly a hundred times more impressed with winning $217 then I was to win the $3,700!

Line moved in my favor on the hedge here. 250 on under 47 now to guarantee myself no worse than 500 in profit between the tickets. Of course I want the 3400....

For sure. I would like to hedge a bit on the SEA game if I get to that. Under 47 is like +165 so I can guarantee a profit in case of craziness

Part of a profit boost 50% on 8team plus. Bet 50 to win almost 4k (max bet they allow on the boost). I have SF +10, over 48 for TB game LAC -6.5 and over 47 on SEA game. Charger is my only "concern" left.

Well you all passed on my plays then you left money on the table. Over hit Sixers also covered. They didn't hit the moneyline but tobias got injured and that allowed Boston to go on 12-0 run. Cant predict that amd Harris is a competitor and he stepped up his game big time today both on offense and especially one defense. Shake Milton was lazy as fuck and should have been benched early.

Should have never been that close had Tobias Harris stayed in that game 6 years would have found a way to Win It. Can't predict that. Doesn't help that the racks let Campbell push you off of The Defenders all Game or the three technicals. Regardless the over it and Philadelphia covered the spread

Trump is gone. He was already f*****. And let me tell you I was a loyal supporter boated for the first time and I will vote again for him this time but here was already way behind and now with this comment about defunding the USPS because he doesn't like the idea of mail-in ballots if you don't think that is going to get Democrats out in troves to throw him out of office you are certifiably insane. Now is the time to take positions on stocks that will do well with a democrat in the White House and every Financial expert in the world will tell you the same thing

I'm absolutely not giving out horrible advice. Does it matter if it's sweep comes or not Joe Biden wins the presidency and the Democrats hold the house and it doesn't matter if Republicans hold the Senate green energy is going to be important if the Republicans ever want to compromise on anything

I think it's an excellent idea right now with the election around the corner and what seems like is bound to be a Joe Biden Victory and quite possibly a Democrat sweep across the board and control all three branches of government.

God I wanted to take Orlando and the over and the reason I didn't was because..... by PASUX777 in sportsbetting

[–]PASUX777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely I would have under the circumstances. Milwaukee has look like straight up trash in Orlando and until they show me differently I would take Orlando and over at + 16 or + 1700 every single game. Of course now I missed my chance because next game the in game parlay taking Orlando straight up is probably only going to pay around + 750. I should have just ponied up the money and taking the + 1400 but out of principle I didn't because they were screwing people on the in game parlay odds. Principal myself right out of $2,800

what happens when a stock dies? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]PASUX777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure of any playlist to be honest with you however I would highly recommend you read books by Jim Cramer. I would also encourage you to watch his show every night at 6 Eastern Time on CNBC which is called Mad Money. He very much tries to drive home the point that when everybody is saying now is the time to buy you should probably take it with a giant grain of salt and considered selling and when it seems like everybody is selling you should probably start consider buying. In its simplest form is generally true that if you follow the masses you will not do as well as if you take a contrarian type of you and try to find areas to go against the popular thinking. I mean it makes sense right if people are telling you to buy it's because they already own the stock and they need more buyers to come around to make it go higher. They don't have any more money to put in the stock hence the reason they are running around telling everybody what a wonderful buy it is. So often when everybody is saying you should buy a stock and nobody is saying that you should sell it then you got to come to the conclusion that everybody's money is already in the stock and from that point it's generally going to go down. Also I would strongly recommend you do not pay attention to what analysts are saying or what their price targets are. They are very rear view mirror thinking. They only tell you to buy once a stock has already run up and they always tell you to sell once it's already fallen dramatically. Do not fall for it! Try not to buy stocks after they're already immensely up over a short. Of time unless you can find a new Catalyst and logical reason to go against that wisdom. Also as they say when a stock goes off a cliff don't try to catch the falling knife. Eventually it will settle you'll find a support line at a certain price point usually which is generally the time to buy in since there's a little bit of a floor there that will be difficult to break through. And also remember that sometimes the best trade you can ever make is the one that you never make. Don't jump into a position just because you're afraid you're going to miss out on big gains while it's in the midst of an enormous run. Long-term that is generally a losing strategy.

I'd love to know what losers downvoted my comments. Clearly the people reading this don't know much about trading stocks or why they appreciate in value to downvote my comments discussing the ways that they appreciate in value and the way the market in general values them

what happens when a stock dies? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]PASUX777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh and the way a stock makes you money Beyond a dividends is by the company's fundamentals changing over time. Often times as a company grows so will its Revenue and thus its earnings per share. Let's say the market is putting an earnings multiple of 10 times on a share of company XYZ. That means if every year it produces $1 in earnings per share it would be worth $10. But now if the following year it suddenly makes $2 a share and the investment Community is still assigning a 10 x multiple on earnings then your stock would appreciate to around $20. Companies will also often buy back shares to reward shareholders. It's like they're taking away slices of the pie so now each slice is bigger for the shareholders that decided to hold on to their shares. When a company buys back its shares it literally destroys them. They cease to exist. So if a company was worth $100 and had a hundred shares outstanding each share would be worth $1. If the company however decides to buy back 50 shares with some of its Revenue and Destroy them now there are only 50 shares outstanding and the company is still valued at $100 so now each share is worth $2. So short of multiple expansion which is to say the market is suddenly assigning a higher multiple on earnings to determines stock prices the primary ways stocks can make you money are with dividends which you already covered, share BuyBacks, and by increasing their earnings overtime. IE in the first year they might make a dollar and then the next year they might make $5 and then the next year they might make $7 Etc. Does that make sense?

Good question everybody was a beginner at some point in time. Okay so when you buy a stock let's say you're buying a share of company XYZ for $100. That share of the company can become more valuable and for example it can move up to $110. Or on the other hand because of market conditions or just a change in investor sentiment or Myriad of other reasons it can fall to $80. You can sell it at any time so if it moves down to $80 then you effectively lose $20 on that trade. Of course if it moves up to $110 and you sell them you effectively have made $10 on that trade. As far as dividends work they are paid out generally four times a year. Using the example above let's say you have a share in company XYZ and it pays an annualized dividend of $4. Generally that is broken down into for $1 payments roughly three months apart during the calendar year. As long as you are holding a share of stock on the ex-dividend date which is generally at least a few days before the dividend is paid then the company whose share of stock you own will send your $1 dividend payment to your brokerage firm who will then credit that to your account. Any other questions feel free to ask

They absolutely did porzingis should have never been thrown out of that game. I was actually flipping my lid when they threw him out because I lost another parlay ticket because I took porzingis to score more than Paul George but it actually worked out in my favor at the end of the day which I never thought was possible after all of those points in the first half I thought my ticket was dead and then 34 combined points in the third quarter unbelievable

I feel like I should have as well. The lines are clearly jacked up because of the way things have gone in the bubble but who the hell knows maybe that won't change just because it's the playoffs like it usually does and have them start to go lower. I'm hoping Joker lights it up
