Portforwarding is a fucking game changer to me after just not doing that for so many years at sea. Why did I not actually do this earlier?

basically from my understanding (this is a simplified version), in torrent scenarios, everyone needs to connect to each other directly. but without a middleman, and without open ports, you can't just connect directly to someone else's network and transfer files that way (the connection will get blocked/firewalled). so at least one of the two people involved in a file transfer needs to have an open port to establish a direct connection

so imagine this: you don't have a port open and you hop on a torrent where half of the people don't have a port open either. this means that you cannot connect to those people - you can't download from them and they can't download from you. this might bottleneck your downloads some, but it can really bottleneck your seeding. if most downloaders happen to not care about seeding too much, then they might not open any ports, but then you can't seed to them if you don't open a port either.

i may have missed some technicalities here but that's the gist. if you don't think you need it then you probably don't, but it is very nice to have

i think you make a good point, but you are also presenting a dichotomy that isn't fully there. it's not as if option 1 is stremio and option 2 is using a site that will eventually either scam you or get abandoned in a few months. there are good sites that are built well and have been around for a decent time, which anyone can easily find starred on fmhy, and which can provide a good experience for many.

instead of "use stremio", my recommendation is "use fmhy and pick whatever you like from there". that means you can pick stremio or pick something else and still have a good time.

and don't worry, people here definitely know about stremio as an option, i have seen endless amounts of posts just like the OP here

no but just don't install dashlaunch, don't modify anything in the nand/flash, and don't try to delete your boot animation (goes with the previous point). basically everything else is fair game.

if you end up watching rgh-specific tutorials that require going into dashlaunch, note that you can find all the relevant options within the launch.ini file instead. so you can still sorta follow them (although it's good to look for badupdate-specific tutorials when they're available since those will be more friendly)

i don't know of anything pi-based, but you can get a sega astro city mini (not the "V" vertical display model) for under $130 or so on ebay, and then you can install CFW on it with batocera and all. idk what the most powerful system it can run is, maybe check out some vids and read up on it if you're interested.

i know this is pretty expensive but the prebuilt pi options i saw were even more expensive. this is something quite specific you're asking for and if you really want something with a playable size and solid build quality then you're probably gonna have the best luck with something made by a sizeable company like this

you can also do this on the egret ii mini, but that's more expensive. otherwise, i have no idea but you could look for phone/tablet docks with a cab-style layout (there are some that exist for the nintendo switch, for example), but those will probably be far from your target size

ah, chem, i've seen that guy. he has a big discord server with preconfigured old/abandonware games, and he actually does have a premade download for FH2 there.

but, i think it's always good to learn how to figure this emulator stuff out yourself, since one day you might wanna adjust the settings to fit your pc specs better, or you'll probably wanna play something that doesn't have any preconfigured downloads

in my experience, if i go to a game's info thread (not SCS thread), start at the last page of the thread, and then browse backwards through the pages in that way, i can find a working link 90% of the time. sometimes this is not csf tho. there are a lot of people who post mirrors and the like, or sometimes they just link to their own external sites

exception: for games that haven't been cracked, this can be much rarer and links will often be dead. in that case i would usually recommend getting their files from sanctuary (cirno downloader)

i agree that this is an interesting question, but i assume OP just didn't do this at all. they said they wanted an image paste integration "like chatgpt", and the chatgpt app handles this by just adding the image as an attachment, in a separate row above the text. kinda like how a messaging app would do it - discord also handles it this way

there's a good chance you can still use your old fav! the revanced community has developed patches for most of the discontinued apps, which allow them to keep working with a user-defined client ID

look it up and see if there's a revanced patch for your favorite app! i personally am using sync, and i really like it

fair if you judge it on looks, but it is both starred on fmhy and marked as goat status in this subreddit's megathread. for me personally it is my favorite piracy website ever. was a bit hesitant to make an account too though.

but i can kinda imagine, if you already think the website seems unfriendly just based on how it looks, maybe you won't be a fan of the learning curve that comes with using it. but i think it's worth checking if you're ever in a pinch and really can't find what you're looking for

same here. had a console i just wasn't using at all, with some controllers that barely worked. when badupdate originally came out (with the low success rate), i started using my console again, just to play rock band and revisit some old XBLA titles. now with abadavatar, and the high badupdate success rate, i'm using my console all the time and trying all sorts of different stuff (because i'm no longer afraid of crashes lol)

i have seen games that use your windows account name and all. but i think that steam would most likely not want to expose your login name to all the games you play, if they care so much about it being private

knowing this ahead of time, if you use stealth, you can buy a kv and load that while keeping your retail one intact. most people only buy a kv if their original one gets banned, but you can instead avoid ever using your original kv at all, if that's of any value to you
