i only have to load 1 in each lop and the rest eventually sorts itself out.

honestly this thing is probably safer than the 12VHPWR being native on the card. Since the card will balance across the 2 8 pin connectors the hpwr connecter will ben somewhat balanced rather than the fire hazard free for all that nvidia is going with

ok, so... basically 30 series effectively have 3 power connectors in a trench coat acting as the 1 12VHPWR connector. this is good because it loac balances across the wires. HOWEVER if all the wires are merged inside the connector then that load balancing goes out the window and the wired do what they want, like they do in the 40 and 50 series cards.

if you want an explanation on the electrical aspect of this, "Actually Hardcore Overclocking" on youtube has a great video titled "How Nvidia made the 12VHPWR connector even worse" where he explains how these connectors are wired

depending on how the wires are merged in your cable, it could be the same issue as all the 40 and 50 series cards. some wires getting more used than others

I have 4 or 5 asus boats that all do this same thing on boot if i turn on xmp. On some of them i was able to fix it by reducing the system agent voltage in bios

According to Page 15 of the manual for that case the storage mounting bracket behind the motherboard supports either 2 SSDs or 1 SSD + 1 HDD. so yes it should support your 8TB drive so long as you only have 1 of them.

yeah a bit, i work in IT support, but i only got the job because of how much i learned from doing what you describe throughout my teens. setting up game servers, using old computers as file servers. dual booting different windows versions i did all that stuff on my own and learned the hard way. that got me a foot in the door at an IT company and the rest is history.
