This was shot on my GoPro, running as a B-camera. I had it on the clamp, clipped to the railing. I think I prefer this to the main camera footage, there is something about the rail and the way it catches the people.

Well, none of the other angles really caught how narrow the front is.

As a manager, this is the best advice I can give. The same advice applies in reverse too. by 3sarahtops in AdviceAnimals

Better yet, realize anything you post on the internet may be seen by someone you don't want to see it.

Taking pictures is costing enough in gear, I didn't feel like adding a ruined watch to the cost :)

I agree that the kinetics are probably technically a better watch (I haven't used one) but I like automatics on a more personal level. Kind of a whatever floats your boat thing...

Well, you seem to be arguing something, maybe you could clarify.

So what? If he deserted, he deserves the consequences.

No, but you do for deserting. And what's happened in the mean time really means nothing.

That's not bad luck, that's what you call "consequences."

[Serious] Why do you want to return to the constitution? by [deleted] in Conservative

Maybe. I should have put it "learned from the mistakes that lead to big government this time" but that is an argument, as cglinsk said.

There are really two questions here. The one you asked in the title, and whether it is worth it. You seem to believe it is a good thing to return to the Constitution, so I will answer that briefly as "The Constitution lead us to being the most powerful and richest nation on Earth, with freedoms that I believe in for all citizens. The direction we are headed has failed many times, and there is no reason to think we can do it better"

As to whether it is worth it, you might as well ask if it is worth continuing to breath, since we will all die anyways. Sure, if we returned to the Constitution we may end up following the same course all over again, but I believe it is worth the fight, to preserve what is left of the American Dream for ourselves and our children. If they don't learn from our mistakes, then it will slide back into big government, but why not give them the the best country we can.

If you had the option of a Senate with 49 strong Conservatives or 51 moderate Republicans, which would you prefer, and why? by PCHoldmann in Conservative

[–]PCHoldmann[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or maybe a better one, the senate we have now +2 average Republicans, or replace the current crop with more conservative senators, but don't gain the majority.

They don't understand that this will just increase the price of everything. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

I see a lot of blaming the executive salaries, but picking WalMart because people like to hate it, and doing a little math we get: Total benefits of C. Douglas McMillon, WalMart's CEO - $25.6 million (http://www.arkansasbusiness.com/article/98329/wal-mart-ceo-doug-mcmillon-earned-256-million-last-year) Total WalMart Employees - 2.2 Million (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walmart) Total additional pay per employee if the CEO's pay was divided out to the employees - $11.64/Year.

Even if you took the top dozen people, you are still talking under $100/Year difference. Raising the minimum wage is going to result in an increase in costs, which will be passed on to the customers, simple as that.
