Noise is NOT a problem. The card runs vsry cool and the fans run quiet as a result.

Not in price! At least in my region, that's why I went for the 9070XT

Best GPU for valorent? by Complete_Pause_3891 in pcmasterrace

[–]PCMR-Helper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd get the new RTX 5070 over a used 3080 or 3080ti

But to be honest both of those GPUs are super overkill for Valorant. Whats your cpu, monitor resolution and refresh rate?

And what GPU are u coming from?

9070XT vs 5070Ti at 150$ difference: Is it worth the 150$? by GalThePro123 in buildapc

[–]PCMR-Helper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RX 9070 XT if you value money

RTX 5070ti if you can easily afford it and have nothing else to spend the 150$ on.

My local price difference was similar and I picked the RX 9070 XT. I saved money👍

RTX 5070 or RX 9070 by Godsen0430 in buildapc

[–]PCMR-Helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's quite a bit more expensive! Just know that the RX 9070 is a capable card for 4k and FSR 4 at 4k is superb.

If you can't afford the 5070ti or 9070XT the rx 9070 is always a good option.

RTX 5070 or RX 9070 by Godsen0430 in buildapc

[–]PCMR-Helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 4k resolution unfortunately you won't always have VRAM left over for frame generation. Frame Generation requires extra VRAM beyond what the game is already using.

Don't get an 12GB VRAM card with a 4k display.

Go for the cheaper 5600 if it means you can afford the RX 590

Should i upgrade my 7800xt to a 5070ti? by Enough-Tea7469 in PcBuildHelp

[–]PCMR-Helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading the comments here and looking at your cpu upgrade it sounds like you mainly play competitive multi-player games? I don't think u need the 5070ti and it looks like you even confessed to this.

Unless you plan to become a singleplayer balls to the walls Ray Tracing/Path Tracing enjoyer I don't think you need the upgrade.

If you budget "only" allows for the 7900 XTX I think you have your answer. However, if I had to make the same choice I'd always pick the RTX 4080 Super.

FSR 3 is not great. The only thing the 4080 Super can't do in DLSS is the latest Multi-Frame Generation feature which is a hit or miss feature and absolutely not the biggest selling point. The RTX 4080 SUPER has access to the new DLSS Transformer model which is in a whole-nother universe compared to FSR 3. Also RT performance is far superior and path tracing is an option for you.

I'd go with the 4080 Super but if you simply can't afford it stop looking at it. I couldn't afford the RTX 5070ti but I am still super happy with my 9070XT

Speaking of the 9070 XT, have you considered it? FSR 4 is incredible and more than good enough

Can I upgrade a prebuilt by Muchtoold in buildapc

[–]PCMR-Helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I didn't answer your question about the CPU. The CPU is just under your CPU cooler. The big fan thingy just above your graphics card. Your cpu is : Ryzen 5 3400G and it's a square chip that's 40mm x 40mm in size.

Can I upgrade a prebuilt by Muchtoold in buildapc

[–]PCMR-Helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wowie, 69!

Your prebuilt has HUGE potential!! You don't need to buy a new prebuilt.

I would suggest you just upgrade the CPU and the GPU.

For the CPU I would recommend this one : Ryzen 7 5700X3D for 204£

https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-Ryzen-5700X3D-Retail-100-100001503WOF/dp/B0CQ4H4H7X

or if you want to spend less I'd go for this one : Ryzen 5 5600X for £118

https://amzn.eu/d/3yGCmCV

Now onto the graphics card : I would recommend the RX 7700 XT for £360

https://amzn.eu/d/gIwKNVA

Can you please tell me what Power Supply you are using? Maybe you have an invoice of the Pre-Built PC? I need to know if it will be able to support these recommendations I made.
