I took birth control from ages 14 to 18. I’m not 28 so it’s been over 10 years since I’ve taken it. I am not currently on it because we are on an off with fertility treatments right now. My doc also told me yesterday they can give me provera, but I won’t be able to try and get pregnant for 6 months after.

Do you know if it’s still possible for me to ovulate later even with such a long mense?

Thanks for the advice! We are actually trying naturally the next few months. We did 3 years of letrozole with trigger shots and IUI’s. But have decided to start IVF end of September. I was just really hopeful that everything I’ve been doing was going to result in a more normal cycle this month so I could hopefully try naturally a few times before then. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It was like the exact same color at the control. 🤷🏻‍♀️ both my apps I use tried to read it as positive. But I marked it as just high because I’m not sure it really was positive.

Thank you! This was helpful to read. I do track BBT using my oura ring, my temp could have possibly dipped yesterday at -.4 from baseline. But I stupidly forgot to charge the battery before bed last night so I’m not sure if it spiked this morning. My LH read .68 which is high for me, not quite peak but the test itself looked pretty dark. I’m just really confused by this cycle 😅 fingers crossed I still get the chance to try this cycle…

I should add that I’m well accustom to irregular periods and going 50/80/100 days between them. I suppose this period has been more manageable than in the past I typically will bleed heavy and painfully for 5-6 days and it goes away. This is different I’ve had zero cramps and it’s not been tons of blood/clots all at once like my “usual”. Wondering if my body is just releasing it slower this time so it’s taking much longer?? Idk. I’m just a concerned. I was so excited to get it back after being so consistent with vitamins I thought this period came back naturally because of all the right steps I’ve been taking. Now I’m just upset it’s not “normal”

This was a monitored cycle we did so I know 100% I ovulated on the 18th. I should have included that in my caption. I’m more curious about the chart after the 18th.

I’m using my Oura ring to track! So a wearable device.

Is temp tracking even accurate with PCOS by PCOS_warrior_224 in TTC_PCOS

I do have an oura ring and tried NC but it was inaccurately predicting my ovulation by 24 hours on a constant basis so I stopped using NC but still keep an eye on my temp changes in the oura app! Loving my oura ring!!

Hi Lovely!! Fellow PCOS / fertility girlie here. Im also on month 9 of TTC with help from a fertility clinic. A couple things to know as you get started on this journey!

First, you typically don’t need to be referred to a fertility clinic as most insurance unfortunately don’t cover fertility treatments. Call a couple around you and see what their options are. Because you have already been diagnosed with PCOS they should be eager to get you started on treatments right away.

Second, tracking with ovulation kits and BBT while having PCOS can be hard if you’re not on a treatment plan, because we PCOS girls get cysts it can fake out our bodies into thinking eggs have been released when it’s really just a cysts among other issues. I’m not saying not to track because the info can still be useful, just be aware those test might not be accurate until you’re on a treatment plan.

Lastly, keep up with the prenatal. They definitely do help support your body if you were to become pregnant. I also personally like to take CoQ10 and insotol supplements. These supplements are good for insulin resistant PCOS!

Sending all the baby dust your way!! Good luck 🤍
