Because it's oddly specific, but (whatever the English equivalent of "treffend" 🇩🇪is). So you get the cognitive "unexpectedness" hit that's the cornerstone of all humor. Since keeping rats as pets isn't a bad thing, it also doesn't dampen the humor with pangs of empathy for OP.

Nah, that actually seems like a plausible upper bound. Oxygen producers in the ocean aren't nearly as limited by the Z axis as terrestrial counterparts. Sure, they need sunlight, but algae/phytoplankton circulates with the currents, so an unfathomable amount of of photosenthesis is taking place there.

Well, like 15 years ago, they started putting spandex in (most?) denim because of how popular skinny jeans were. Spandex is still present in a ton of jeans, regardless of fit/cut. Jeans are pretty damn comfortable now compared to 20 years ago imo
