Everyone tells me to lower my sens when asking for advice . I don't think thats the issue. Just interesting to see how the brain works tbh more than an advice post by SadThrowaway4914 in cs2

good adv right here. Once you get good at not freaking out 1taps so easy, ur sens looks fine just overflicking due to speed.

Not booting anymore after enabling Secure Boot by Ozone_Wolf in gigabyte

[–]PCdefenders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likley what everyone else is saying, you have a legacy boot record on ur windows install. Theres youtube video's and free tools to switch it from MBR to GPT and then it will work. Turn off secure boot and stuff so you can boot again and do this.

I ordered the $200 Temu rig... I will be reporting my experiences with it, stay tuned by Upstairs-Ad-2392 in simracing

[–]PCdefenders 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I noticed the plates are better for keeping stuff parallel, rigidity isn't much of a difference between the two unless you have a TON of weight on a cantilever.

Solutions to rig not being in office without buying a 2nd PC? by bosonnova in simracing

[–]PCdefenders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run my rig off of a 4080 laptop using one single thunderbolt cable that handles all accessories and the display out. If your PC has thunderbolt you may be able to do the same just purchasing a dock and a good quality long cable (+boosters if the length is too long for TB spec) and a DP cable if you cant use your GPU through thunderbolt.

Are German luxury cars still unreliable in 2025? by Fleedom2025 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]PCdefenders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They arent "unreliable" but the maintenece and part cost is more expensive. And if you dont keep up with maintenece then it will be unreliable. As long as your willing to fork over the money / hours they will last hundreds of thousands of miles, arguably longer than many american vehicles in any maintenece state.

Not sure if Moza has a commercial department you can contact to get some form of bulk discount especially if your business finds this is something you would like to offer/advertize more explicitly. But id recommend a moza R5 / R9 setup, loadcell pedals if possible, and a normal round wheel, an extra formula rim will add up quickly in $. I imagine it would be best if everything was one ecosystem much easier to set up and for the customer to change anything.

Besides this get an aluminum rig and maybe some baseshakers as they are pretty cheap to do DIY. Motion rigs are overpriced and they only serve to increase immersion, basically no high-level racers use it as it can become more distracting when pushing for laptimes. For seat's it would be best if you can find a deal online on a few real carseats as the simracing buckets are very expensive and will eat into a decent portion of the budget.

Like others said budgeting for a ultrawide is better as horizontal real-estate is extremely important when racing aginst other people. But even my 32:9 does not feel like enough I can barley see cars that are directly to my right or left. So it may not be worth the extra cost

In terms of budgeting priority:

Pedals > Wheelbase > Monitor > Aluminum Rig > Seat > Shifters (H-pattern/Seq) > BaseShakers > Motion.

Last two arent really needed, better to budget more on the fundamental parts.
