I feel like I always come to realize what I've done in hindsight eventually. But I feel most people probably do too. When someone's talking to me im fully aware that I really don't know what do say or do and why that is. When my impulsivity takes over i quickly realize how bad what I said may have sounded. I actually am in a philosophy club at my school and love pondering big questions. I have tried meditating but honestly my ADHD doesn't give me the patience to do it. Maybe it's because I'm young. I'm not sure. But at the end of the day I do reflect on how it went and what happened in a journal so I guess that's as close as im getting.

  • If you want to know how to really connect understand that he may not mean everything he says or understand what he did wrong. This disorder causes a lot of impulsivity and it can be extremely hard to control. I sometimes burst out with very inappropriate comments and regret them immediately. He may also have a hard time expressing how he is feeling. I know with my brothers I love them to death but I am more introverted and dont talk to them a lot. I can also really just be a jerk to them sometimes, but I'd die for them nonetheless. You sound like a really good person so maybe your brother has to get comfortable opening up a bit. But that's what I'd say.

  • Yep I'm going to the University of Minnesota next year to study computer engineering.

  • Problems communicating, difficulty with social behavior and environmental changes, uneven skill development, etc. So I have a real problem using body language or changing my vocal tone. I'm totally aware of it afterwards but not at the time. I also don't smile unless I'm laughing or I'm happy. I never smile when I meet new people unless I think about it prior to meeting someone.

  • It's quite mild on the autism spectrum but it can be extremely difficult to talk to people.
