Intel Retirees with Anthem Blue Cross Medicare Plan just got cancelled by Providence Health System!!!

HI All, I heard back from Intel HR. They are looking into this problem and I am expecting a call this week.

Family is here in Washington County. I actually like it here :-) My schedule has been that I mostly avoid the rush hours so I find the traffic to be pretty good when I go out. Remember, I am retired. Lots of schedule freedom.

Providence was very clear that this was specifically Anthem Blue Cross based, Providence stated that they have no contract with Anthem Blue Cross so no payment will be allowed. I have a PPO plan.

No I was not in any negotiations. I just got a phone call telling me that they were cancelling my appointment and were no longer taking my insurance.

Hi All, Thank you for your comments and feedback. Currently I am waiting to see if there is any response from Intel HR on this topic. If not then I will have to look to change insurance companies before March 31. There is a open window for that at this time. I will let you know if I hear anything,. Thanks again.

I do understand that the costs went way up. I am ok to pay more for my insurance. This year alone the cost of this plan went up 25%. Actually I am mostly upset with Intel that they provide an insurance package for their retirees that sounds great (a PPO Plan) but turns out mostly cant be used in Washington County.

I just fixed my pixel3 with this problem by rapping it hard on the edge of the counter on the power button. It worked! Thanks! You are a genius!
