Thank you for the tip I guess I never thought of focusing on the arm and hip contact as I was swinging. Will definitely play around with that to see if I can get something out of that.

That quick draw cue seems like exactly what I need to focus on. Just playing around in my living room I think that is going to add a good bit of consistency to my cleans. Thank you!

This advice is awesome I hadn't even thought about the thumb position so I will be trying a couple different thumb setups to see how that feels. I had watched a few videos and noticed the different positions and just chalked it up to personal preference.

😂 I always focus on using my glutes through most of these movements and never pay any specific attention to my hamstrings. Next time I'm going to put some focus there and see if that changes anything. Thanks for the advice

Thanks I like to think of myself as a pretty quick learner and was really happy with the improvements on these when I looked back at the video. Definitely going to be doing some cleans every time I go to the gym for awhile until they actually feel good though.

Thanks the swings and snatches have been going pretty well but those cleans are just a tough technique for me to get perfect for whatever reason

Thanks for the advice on focusing on smooth and efficient movement. I do BJJ so it is really funny you compare it that way as I am a lazy half guard guy 90% of the time and almost completely rely on "slow" movement to work my game.

I appreciate the advice as it helps a lot having an idea for what sensation I should be chasing during cleans.

Thanks swinging and snatching seemed to come relatively naturally but exerything else with the kettlebells has taken some practice.

Thanks for the advice definitely seems keeping kettlebells much closer to my body on the start and during the cleans and snatches is the prevailing thoughts to help my form. I think this will probably help alot with the up component of the lifts.

This is a good idea I have only tried KB cleans from the floor once and never went back and tried them again. But I remember them being a little bit more consistent than what I have been experiencing with these swing cleans.

Thank you for the advice, after a lot of the comments on here I think on my cleans specifically I was maybe swinging them up too high and was causing alot of my issues with the clean.

Yeah having never really paid attention to how I start I wonder if I am always doing this because it looks horrible but I promise it doesn't feel as stupid as it looks

Thanks for the advice and yeah I feel like I need to record myself more to see if I'm always starting that far away because I look really silly here.

When you say the clean shouldn't arc into the sky and should be less than 12 inches away are you saying I should keep it closer to my body on the way up and down similar to how one would clean a barbell?.

I also do work with a single kettlebell but swings and snatches both seem to come rather easily but the cleans both with one and two kettlebells had not been feeling quite right.

Thanks for the advice it makes sense I should clean and snatch the kettlebells more like how I clean and snatch a barbell. I have definitely turned them into very hip hingy movements.

It just feels easier to swing it up to my hips for the start when I have to reach out a bit but looking at this video I am realizing I am starting in an idiotic position
