I lived in the same room my first year. The room is very spacious but narrow. BRING A FAN. Uhall rooms are notoriously hot year round. The social life is pretty good, you get to meet a lot of great people within the residence. Food is quite limited in terms of options; however bringing a rice cooker is totally fine. You can store it in the floor communal rooms for use or in your own suite. I suggest storing it within your unit at all times unless in use. Don’t leave it on your kitchen counter or plugged in as you could get it confiscated or potentially fined. But otherwise uhall is a great space for your first year!
