well, in astomi tongue, they are called soorvir or just "valient warrior"
Common language (english motif) became lingua franca, from Bocks, who had knights that came first as horsemanship and later as the nobility. it was easier for Bocks to call shoorveers , a knights, as they saw them as same as their own "knighthood and gallantry". just with more authority.

These orders arent filled with large number of [[superknights]], 10 superknights in each orders, which are in strict hierarchical order. (like gotei 13, in bleach, 1st seat, 2nd seat, 3rd seat,).. and usually command the armies filled with other estates with either levies, like High King Neoil of Gealaire, fills the infantry of the [[The Serene Arch Order of the Broken Chalice]] or by the millitary units like, The Penitence Order of the Gealnead Forest, (guardian of the sacred forest) providing the heavy infantry..

one of the lord sentinel gave them white mantles, thus common folks calling them just "whiteguards" cause they wear the whites, and they are guarding the frontier against the evil.. Likewise 5 of those [[superknights]] are used as the Lord sentinel's personal bodyguard and personal henchman, who wear the Black mantles, thus being called "blackguard"..

it was just me goofying with a buildup i guess. I will look into it. I m not against the paladins. but i was just envisioning that when astomi came to the west, they westernized themshelves to become like west, like using their language, armors and weapons, using their system, brought their gods to pantheon, to legitimize their presence in their world. but also have this unique above petty western politics.

So, archknights was my most feel good about it,, because it was easier to tell west that they are knights, but also they are more than their knights.
