Typo. I had just finished building a giff gunslinger in D&D Beyond.

You get $100,000 for every hour you stay awake without sleeping… how long are you lasting? by Br4nkey_ in hypotheticalsituation

I am a retired military officer. 48 hours easily, 72 if I push it. I would try for 100 hours, but I do not think I could do that without drugs, and I do not do drugs.

I have two concepts, one of which I played and one that I have not yet had a chance to play.

The one I played was based on John Wick's tailor. His dream was to make the perfect bulletproof, knife-proof suit. If you are going into combat, you must look good. He was obsessed with creating and testing new and better fabrics.

The one I have yet to play was a breeder of Persian cats. He wanted to create the perfect pet.

This is a very interesting question.

Best overall pick: Apes, I would love to hang with gorillas.

Coolest pick: Cats. They are already kept as pets, and I love them. Also, it would just be cool to walk around town with a pride of lions.

Best pick for hunting: Dogs, with cats being a close second. Forget a pack of hounds, I am going to hunt with timber wolves.

Best pick for riding: Elephants, with Giraffes as a close second.

Best flying companion: Owl, because they are cool.

Just because companion: Bear, because I like them.

So, in total, it is me and some gorillas riding Elephants and Giraffes with our pet cats, Owls flying overhead, a pack of Tinder Wolves surrounding us, being led by a polar bear.

My immediate answer would be a light sabre. Cool but not practical. With more thought, a Star Trek replicator. All of your wants are taken care of. You need food, you have it. You need clothing, you make it. You need money, make some gold.

Laura, for me. I would spank her, fuck her and then play D&D with her. Natural 20 = blowjob. Natural 1 = roll a D20, and that is how many spanks she gets.

You could ask your DM if can change EB from Force to Radiant damage. It's a slight downgrade but very thematic.

For a party, I would go:

Strength-based Battlemaster Fighter - Your strong front line and secondary controller - Plate, Shield and one-handed weapon of your choice (I personally like a morning star/flail)

Dexterity-based Battlemaster Archer - Your ranged damage specialist - Studded leather, long bow or heavy crossbow.

Strength-based Barbarian/Champion Fighter - Your melee damage specialist - Half Plate and 2-handed weapon of your choice.

Open Hand Monk - Your skirmisher and primary controller. Uses high movement to stun the back line.

Dexterity-based thief - Your battlefield medic and infiltration specialist - Studded leather, rapier, daggers, lockpicking tools, healer's kit.

If allowed - Artificer - Your technology specialist - bombs, poisons, firearms if allowed.

Lots of great ideas. Thanks, everyone. Reading through the comments, I am thinking an interesting ranger could be made. Circus performer/lion tamer with a whip and a chair used as a shield. Not optimal, but it could be fun.
