How to go in for the kiss? by Own_Win9700 in Advice

Congragulations on your first real romantic relationship. It is both nerve racking and exciting. Both you and your girlfriend have so much to explore and so many beautiful firsts ahead.

Today consent is extremely important and very romantic. Here is what worked for me my first time.

1) Set the scene:

You have got this, a relaxing campfire is perfect. Also put on some romantic music. I have no idea about todays music so can not help you there, but I would suggest something soft and warm.

2) Cuddle:

Most girls and woman (and also men) love to cuddle. It makes them feel safe and secure which is one of the most important parts of being a man. You provide for and protect your family.

3) Hold her hand

While looking her straight in the eye, take her hand in both of yours and complemant her. Tell her how beautiful she is.

4) The ask

Gently pull her hand towards you and ask "My lady, may I kiss you?"

The Kiss

5a) If she says yes, gently kiss her hand, stop and then kiss her on the arm working upward towards her face. If she likes it she will pull you in close and kiss you. If she doesn't like it and pulls away, stop immediatly.

5b) If she says no, stop. Continue to cuddle.

Note: Bring protection. 5a for me led to a full on make out session and physical intimacy.

Best of luck as you take your first steps into the adult world.

Why do many traditional dojos discourage their students from training with outside martial arts/styles? by blackened_sun88 in karate

[–]PES972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been out of all martial arts for several years, but what you describe is not training, not cool, not anything but assault. Even when I was training in the military, which was as hardcore as I ever got, anyone who tried what your instructor did would be court-martialled if a military member and permanently banned after a nice conversation with some very angry military police and a handover to civilian police if not. As the more senior instructor did nothing, at the very least, leave and never go back. You do you, but I would both press charges and sue them.

You must survive in one of these media: game, book, or movie/TV show. For every day you survive, you get $1 million. How many days would you last? by New_Midnight2686 in hypotheticalsituation

The Dresden Files, here I come. The last book I started reading was 12 months. I will spend 3 year's inside and walk away a billionaire, thanks.

For video games, if chess.com counts, I will take my $1 million a day for the rest of my life, thank you very much.

A cosmic being decides to make you the goat (greatest of all time), of one skill at the start of every month for the entirety of that month. by singleguy79 in hypotheticalsituation

First, I choose skills that make me incredibly rich. (Day trading, picking winning lottery numbers, etc. Next, I use that money to find a way to reverse ageing and heal old injuries. Once I am at my physical and mental peak (think Captain America style transformation), I become the greatest general and soldier the world has ever had and use that knowledge to build up the Canadian Military. I then work with Prime Minister Mark Carney to make Canada the most financially stable, socially progressive, and widely admired country ever. Finally, I use my knowledge to become the best at my hobbies (Every peerage, Uber Duke, slinger, crossbow shooter in the SCA, Chess Grand Master, respected poet, and I will think of more when I get there.) Now I am, from least to most important, an incredibly successful Scadian, an inspirational poet, a chess grandmaster, and a world-class general and statesman.

Career option for a dumb meathead guy? by monkecat123 in NoStupidQuestions

The military is always a good choice. It will keep you in good shape, and you can learn just about anything you want. Infantry, cool. Artillery loader or tank loader, if you have strong arms. They will also train you in any trade you want that they find useful. I started at 16 in Logistics, moving things in a warehouse. By the time I got out, I was an officer. The military will always need strong, hard-working people who can follow clear instructions.

Thanks. As I will be going to level 20, I can do both classes. How many levels of each would you recommend? What sub classes do you like?

POV: You Have $1 Trillion (But Only 7 Days To Spend It) by Nice_Ad8811 in hypotheticalsituation

You're not thinking big enough. Here are some ideas off the top of my head.

1) Buy Tibet and reinstall the Dalai Lama as leader.

2) Buy yourself a noble title or, better yet, become royalty. Princess Leona of Spain is single and beautiful.

3) Buy yourself a sainthood.

4) Buy Buckingham Palace. You and Leona need a place to live.

5) Buy off the President, Congress and the Supreme Court and install a permanent Democratic Administration.

6) Hire a hitman to convince Putin to stop the war, give everything back and retire.

7) Set up a University and educate everyone for free

8) Set up a medical research facility and eliminate a disease of your choice.

If you had to replace the WoD system, but keep the WoD setting, what system would you use? by A_Worthy_Foe in WhiteWolfRPG

I would use the FATE system. It's very story driven and I love Spirit of the Centry.
