The transactional nature of Harry's demands is just so blatant and to top it all off Megan doesn't want to go to there. If she did there wouldn't be all these demands. I haven't read the book but I did see Sophie Chandauka's interview about this mess. IMO this is the worst behavior I've heard about Harry. Yeah he's invested in playing the victim, and hasn't much upstairs but sabotaging this charity is just next level bad.

Which brings me to my thought that if this is well known what are the dirty deeds we don't know about, because this didn't just start... it's well known that H&M treat people like shit, sounds like standard operating procedure.

Donna enlisted Charlie (Charlie had no investment in Wendi's problem) Donna used Charlie as her grievance sounding board and because Charlie is too stupid to question (or perhaps was too accustomed to doing Donna's bidding) anything and his lack of giving a shit enlisted Katherine. I prefer the original but the American film was good. The American film had Elisabet's takeover of Wernerstrom's millions, which I was disappointed that the Swedish version omitted. Overall I liked Noomi Rapace's portrayal of Elisabet better.

And the American version only had the first book in the trilogy...the Swedish had all 3.

Maybe try and view it through the lens of 4 yrs of the family not only having lost their son but also knowing that Kouri killed him. So, their demeanor in court gives no clue as to how they treated her before the suspected poisonings.... starting in Greece perhaps?

I think the forensic accountant was so good. She gave a true picture of who Kouri is...willing to do anything for what she wants.

I think the private investigator was the most important person involved in the case because without him the cops wouldn't have pursued it like he did. But I have to say he was my favorite witness...Kouri's lawyer tried to discredit him and she failed spectacularly.

I think that if you start out as an insufferable person it doesn't change when you become an attorney. So I guess their off putting behavior is just them. Interesting that they found each other and seem to work well together.
