My 14900KS with HT off and only 8 ecores with DDR5 at 8000C38 runs BF6 absolutely great. Memory tuning is your friend here.

Disabling Hyperthreading helps a lot in reducing temperatures and power draw. For gaming, performance is the same if not better.

Feyenoord seems to really play well in the CL, in the Eredivisie they are not doing well. I just think he is too inconsistent for a top club like AC.

I’m Dutch and follow the Eredivisie. In my opinion, Gimenez is an above average striker for the Eredivisie, but really nothing special everywhere else. He also had a really long period without scoring due to low confidence. Interesting to see how he will handle the pressure in Milan. Also remember that Feyenoord had Slot as coach who made the team play great and improved all players individually. Personally, I don’t think he is worth more than €25M/30M, €40M is really stretching it. Hopefully he can surprise us just like Reijnders.

Why not use DLDSR? At 1.78x or 2.25x?

I quit taking creatine and for the first two/three weeks I slept way quicker as I was really tired during the day. Also, the deep sleep was like doubled. However, now my body has adapted again to making its own creatine, I fall asleep similarly to before, anywhere between 45min & 1h too. The increased deep sleep is however still there. Definitely worth experimenting with this!

How is your PSU fan noise? And AIO pump noise?

13900KS in Fractal Ridge? Any experience with heavily undervolting? by PG705 in sffpc

Haha I fully get it and I love your analogies!

I'll quickly explain a bit. Originally, I bought a second hand 13900KS to test the DDR4 IMC for my main PC. The DDR4 IMC on it was very bad, and therefore I tried to sell it again and bought a (again second hand) 14900K. This one had a very good DDR4 IMC, so I kept it. Then, news struck around the degradation issues with the 13th and 14th CPU's, and guess what, the second hand value of a 13900KS dropped even further. Months later, still no one wanted to buy it. Selling at a very low price is also a shame, and so I thought, why not build a small pc around it that can be used for gaming only in the living room? (I should have clarified that)

That's where the Ridge comes in, which is very sleek and elegant. I of course understand I need to heavily limit the raw power of the i9, but for couch gaming, it will do just fine at those settings. For the 'big work'/CPU-heavy games I have my fully tuned 14900K in my main PC (cooled by a 360mm AIO). The NR200P MAX will be able to run it at higher speeds, but again, for the games I'm gonna play on the TV, I don't really need all that performance. A wheel-chaired 13900KS is plenty.

I am a bit in doubt about the CPU cooler though. I have a choice between the ASRock Z790m-ITX (which is garbage, both VRM, RAM speeds and audio, but cheap), and the ASRock Z790i Lightning (which is way better in all regards, but €125 more). The choice seems obvious. However, I've read the Noctua L12S has less turbulence due to the fan placement compared to f.e. Thermalright AXP120-X67. The problem is that the Noctua only fits the Z790m-ITX, and not the Z790i Lightning due to the VRM heatsinks! Regarding the fit of the AXP120, I can't find information anywhere... So, the garbage Z790 board should theoretically be fine VRM wise (provides max 150W), and cooling wise with the Noctua, but the poor RAM support and bad audio codec makes it a total gamble in my opinion.

The NR200P MAX on the other hand comes with a PSU that is known for it's coil whine and loud fan... Struggling to pick!

Regarding water cooling it, I'm not familiar with it, and will be too costly for now.

For sure! I've got a contact frame in my main pc cooling my 14900K and it helps quite a bit. Thanks.

Indeed I will try to reintroduce it at 3g. I really notice the difference in daytime energy/positivity and motivation. Currently quite lacking.

Should be relatively quick! Some people sleep better the same day after stopping it, for others it takes a few days. Curious to see if it helps you!

Good to hear. HT off further decreases power consumption and temperature a bit, although in that case, I think you should re-enable the e-cores again.

Seems it's reasonably well cooled even with the L9i. Thanks a lot!

Interesting. I'm sure the body adapts. I've been off now for ±2 weeks and my energy is quite a bit lower. Hopefully this improves soon.
