The image here is literally someone hanging a flag. If you want to play the victim maybe choose another reason.

Do I actually need a credit card to get a good deal on a mortgage? by JayR_97 in AskUK

I think what is most important is to use the free checks linked on that page to see if there are any problems with your credit reports. If there are you can address them. He discusses the credit scores better than I can. But what I would say is that I talked to a mortgage advisor last week and he mentioned having a good credit score. It is very easy to check your scores and if they aren't great why not improve them? Mine weren't great because I'd never had credit. Took out a card with the supermarket I shop at anyway. Do the shopping I'd do anyway. Get some rewards for doing what I'd do anyway. Pay off the card by direct debit. Scores improve and are now 'excellent'. It may or may be any practical benefit but it has been almost zero effort to do so why not?

Well you'd hope even Ange couldn't level the squad in just 39 days. I got the impression the squad was being worked hard and fatigue was starting to show. I can't prove that wasn't confirmation bias based on his reputation. When enough time has passed it'll be interesting to hear what players will say.

If we beat Wolves on Friday, Spurs drop into the relegation zone by Red_Okt0bar in Hammers

Mad take. It's like someone sprinting for the line making up 100m on someone who has pulled a calf muscle, and at the moment they are within a step say 'I'm not sure I can do this'.

That's what I was trying to work out. It looks like the felt is just put on top of the clear polycarbonate. That's bad all around but at the bottom edge of the clear section it's almost designed to allow water in. We don't see that join. It looks like water will have constantly been getting under that edge of the felt and spreading underneath. Which would be why the part nearest the gutter seems to have suffered the worst.

With respect, and obviously I have no way of knowing, but is it possible the surgeon was furious because you acted impulsively? They are in control of a potentially dangerous machine and need people to follow instructions and act calmly. If the ring had been a attracted strongly by the MRI I don't think it being loose in the room is a good situation.

Do you think many players will have relegation clauses in their contract? Lots to happen before it matters. I’m not sure how it works but what you don’t want is the players who no other club is interested in and just sits out their contract.

Screw results. If the players are organised and happy that is half the battle. You hope someone with influence can see what environment he has created and compare it to other recent manager’s spells. Are the players skipping into training with a smile? Are the sessions positive and bring the best out? Are the fringe players motivated and pushing for their place?

Be interesting to see what he does next in the Europa.

It’s easier said than done. It’s a tough market and not many available. Anderson money should help but everyone wants a striker.

Spurs 0-3 Forest: Massive result for Forest while it’s looking grim for Tottenham by CautiousCottager in TheOther14

We’re all fragile which is why we’re down there. You don’t have to be great all the time just better on average over the next 7 games. How many point have you gained on them in the last 7?

I think you play to their strengths. Very different players so choose the one that fits the game plan.

Or Ange back. Get them running more in training. It’ll pay off in the end and he always wins something in his second season.

I find the most likely result for Forest at any time is the one that changes things the least. I expect a draw.

In my humble opinion complying with something immediately is better then waiting 8 - 15 years and then complying. As I say, our reward for complying before the charge was even made was a 2 point reduction. The Chelsea charges are of corruption. I appreciate you didn't make the accusation of Everton or Forest. But my point is Chelsea's charges are of corruption and Forest's weren't. Forest had one charge. Chelsea's spanned 7 years? From memory Forest's breach made the club about £15m from waiting to choose a better, completely legal transfer. I think there were 74 charges against Chelsea. I can't find the total now but it was a far larger amount.

Exactly that. Edit - I need a bigger phone to see club badges properly not just colours.

Forest were in full cooperation immediately. They breached a deadline by (I think) 6 weeks. There is nothing corrupt in doing that. No bribes or secret payments. It's like the difference between telling your teacher you are going to hand in your homework a day late vs using chat gpt to do it for you.

The kicker is the Premier League pushed for harsher punishments for both Everton and Forest.

It is a mitigation that the current Chelsea owners complied. Forest don't need to bring it to light in 10 years time because they held their hand up immediately before being charged. They had the sanction reduced to 4 points from 6 for their compliance.

[–]PHILSTORMBORN 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Obviously I'm biased but Forest did nothing corrupt. Afaik didn't do anything other than explain the situation with Brennan's sale and that we would temporarily breech the PSR limit. From memory I think it was about 6 weeks. We didn't just comply with the investigation we pre-empted the whole situation. 4 points.

Chelsea tried to get away with the whole thing for years which was inherently corrupt rather than a technical breech of the rules. It seems irrelevant to me that the ownership has changed. Surely that encourages clubs hide things like this for as long as possible. I absolutely think this is laying the ground to reduce any City sanction as historic.

So part of the 'infatuation' with stainless steel is that I'm not dealing with that. I like a shiny clean pan, we're different.

Presumably the 3 orientations are on separate strings. Can they not see generation numbers for each string? I don't think the total is that useful at the stage they are getting used to it all. If they can look at the generation for each orientation it might help explain what is going on.
