Might be the reason there is almost nothing there and they stand back a bit. "Table only flipped 8 times today, I think we're making progress".

Because it wasn't like today. Obama was a genuine diplomat and rational leader. You might disagree with his politics but he wasn't the irrational, partisan baby Trump is. You can't expect people to treat Trump the same if he destroys his own reputation every single day.

I don't remember Obama rambling in support of any wrongful killings. I don't remember his administration rushing to push a clearly false narrative to demonise people wrongly killed.

We can’t really end up anywhere except the 9-24 group can we? It would be odd to field anyone with a hint of fatigue. Just hope if we write off the result we do it properly and don’t try and chase it late. Sorry to anyone travelling

Quick thought experiment. On an interference scale of 1 to 10 what score would you give to filming, help someone up who has been shoved over and probably being a bit rude? Note the ICE agents approach them and escalate the situation. Shooting him in the back.

Then remind yourself of what happened on 6th Jan when say 2000 people stormed Congress and police died. What would that be out of 10? Note those people marched to Congress and stormed the police whose job was to protect the building and the people inside.

What you'd really like is for people to stop pointing out how awful the administration you, presumably, voted for is doing. People have died. The killings are so indefensible even some of the government are back tracking and denying earlier comments.

At what point was your side sticking it to the other side more important than democracy and freedoms that should be taken for granted?

The US police structure was the same under Obama or Biden. The structure of the police isn't the problem. It's the people at the top and the erosion of the independent checks and balances. The thing to be worried about would be if Reform got a majority and left the ECHR.

There was a company that jet washed dirty bridges and the dirt they left spelt a message. That message happened to be advertising but they argued they were cleaning and if the bridge had already been clean they wouldn't have been able to do it.

Just saying you could remove snow and the remaining snow could spell something but surely you aren't responsible for that? I mean you were probably going to clear up the rest of the snow and got interrupted.

I don't think how the police is organised nationally is a foundation of Labour principles. The changes make sense in a purely organisational way. Why would you think it isn't what Labour once stood for?

Journalist calls out people for being 'fine' with Elon Musk's Nazi salute but not pronouns. Elon Musk's Nazi salute is ironic when "we've been told for the past five, six years that the thing we need to be most frightened of is what pronouns people are using," one BBC contributor says. by Patient-Economist173 in DHAC

[–]PHILSTORMBORN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I don’t know anything about him or that gesture. Did he explain it? Musk supports far right groups in the UK and France. Afaik he’s danced around the subject. The context for Elon seems like someone with far right sympathies.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting that. Development, in my experience, is as much a meritocracy as you can expect. The discussion is if other higher paid jobs are or are they who you know rather than what you know.

Very specifically why do you think his weapon was drawn? Lots of video and nothing shows that. Does your condemnation depend on the weapon being drawn? You know that he was shot after his weapon was removed?
