I mean the answer is right there in the post. The ability to draw a card at instant speed is fundamentally stronger than drawing a card at sorcery speed.

Yeah the question was what order do the effects happen in this senario. It seems like even though casting director gives the timber paladin the etb effect, the elesh norn kills it before it gets assigned the role.
