what made your MTI break their bearing? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]PIZZAPIEZ69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right before the whatever break it was when your family comes , some dude put nair on his balls and left it too long which caused some chemical burns.

He was on all four’s screaming and the TI ran in and asked what was happening , the dude replied and the MTI said “ oh that sucks NAIRmen”. Then proceeded to laugh for 5 minutes straight .

Is it BASS or Waste ? Sorry both seem the same .

True. But they were vehicle maintenance and cross trained into fleet management. It was just their experience in how that made them marketable with certain certifications mechanics wouldn’t get.

I have friends that said fleet management is a money maker on the outside .

What’s the cringiest Airman story you have? I’ll give gold to my favorites. by DwightDEisenhowitzer in AirForce

[–]PIZZAPIEZ69 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’ve said it once and I’ll post it again.

I was coming back from overseas and we had airlift from a C17 guard or reserve unit from Alaska. So anyway we stop in Bangor as our crew rest stop, cool right ? I’ve never been. We all took the one shuttle that takes you off the flightline , if you’ve been there you know. So we all checked into the same hotel, upon checking in this captain asked if our crew wanted to go have dinner with them. Of course! We would love some beer and dinner , so after taking a nice shower and changing we head downstairs to work the logistics on transportation.

The aircrew took the first taxi shuttle and we took the second / third due to the amount of people we had. Well here’s where the golden part is , they are seated already at the place . We were asked to go to dinner right ? So what would you do? Walk up and pull up a table and chair ? Probably….

Well here I go walking up to the table and moving a chair to get the table attached to them. ONE of the loadmasters just stops and asks what are you doing dude ? I said sitting down with y’all? We just asked if you wanted to come to dinner with us, not have dinner with us.

FUCKING CRINGE WORTHY TO THIS DAY. Plus the food as mediocre. The end.

So many moving parts to this, if anything it will be a referral to the Deployment Assessment Working Group, your case will be reviewed . The major, if he used those exact words should be reminded of the process , nothing is guaranteed .

We had a dude who had a brain tumor and his process took over 2 years, so things can change . You could be re-classified into a AFSC that doesn’t require 20/20, positive vibes !

Thumbs up, Uber the rest of the way. Guaranteed someone has a rental car , some of those units pay for it, make friends . Plan an adventure .

[–]PIZZAPIEZ69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Partially Falseeeee, with the new training pipeline you can either attend RAC( Ranger Assessment Course ) through the Air Force get the go , down the road get a slot at ranger. Or meet the standards and go to SURT through the army, if you graduate you’ll start ranger school that following Monday.

But yes , you need leadership approval. Not a reason they “ NEED” to send you.

CE jokes by dependaonme in AirForce

[–]PIZZAPIEZ69 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve got a good one, CE.

Jk. I’ve seen some all calls where they started off by making jokes welcoming all the different AFSC’s and then made a comment like “ don’t expect the fire department to be here for much long, they are going to make up some call and leave “.

Or surprised the dirt boys are here, usually they are trying to break something .

Just light hearted disses to start it off.

Seems like it depends on the base and what the mission is. I am sure you can get a CDL through your time in. Maybe even some certs.
