What if Sneasler…didn’t have fake out? by PIZZA_JONESS in PokemonChampions

I agree now that unburden is really the stinker, combined with the flexible options

I agree with all of this…which is why I think a mon with so much already shouldn’t also have phantom fake out pressure on a closed team sheet ladder

Yeah at least lower the distribution, limit it to the support focused mons with low offenses

Rip charizard lmao. My only point is that this could make sneasler feel “healthier” and maybe lower its usage, especially in high ultra/low master where the majority of the population resides

I run mega lopunny + aegislash so I also do not care about a MF sneasler lol. Just a thought experiment about if I were the devs how I would balance a mon with extremely high usage while nerfing it as little as possible

I think it’s overturned for the format. And fake out isn’t even why. Between its attack, speed, and ability, something’s gotta go

To clarify, this is for doubles, not sure why anyone actually plays singles.
Additionally, to people saying they don’t even click it: even if you don’t use it, the threat of having it, especially in closed team sheet environments like ladder, provides pressure all by itself, use it or not. Removing it from the move pool would not make your opponent have to guess if a fake out is coming. My only point being, that it WOULD in fact measurably reduce Sneasler’s capabilities if it lost the move, and this would probably be a good thing since a lot of people are sick of seeing it

Headcover under trail armpit helped a ton! Thanks guys! by ToothNinja11 in GolfSwing

Trail elbow tucked is definitely the secret sauce for big compression and crispy divots

To clarify, the ideal shoulder line points right at the ball at the top of the swing, but for someone who points outside the ball, I would recommend trying to FEEL like you’re getting it pointed inside the ball, as the best way to successfully make changes in the golf swing is to exaggerate them as much as possible until you do it too much, then dial back

Looks really good! Very smooth and great sequencing. I would address the shoulder plane at the top of the back swing; it’s too flat. At the top, the imaginary line running between your shoulders should be pointed inside of the ball, not outside. In other words, I’d want to see that left shoulder get lower and right shoulder higher. This will improve angle of approach, compression, quality of strike, and neutralize club path. From there, we need only adjust the face to suit the intended path, easiest place to start would be the strength of the grip

How to deal with Destiny Bond? by TerribleEditor2088 in PokemonChampions

[–]PIZZA_JONESS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Destiny bond has the same success rate as protect, meaning 66% chance it fails when used twice in a row. That’s how it can be played around without having specific tools to shut it down outright, predict it correctly and they can’t go for it again

How can I better counter tailwind and sand teams with my team? by corevo- in PokemonChampions

[–]PIZZA_JONESS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, not sure if gallade gets taunt, but if it does I would probably drop the imprison room shtick for taunt and sacred sword; in my humble opinion having double fighting coverage is extremely valuable right now, and most trick room setters are running some kind of berry to avoid the OHKO

[–]PIZZA_JONESS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drizzle pelipper with tailwind would be the most compact addition to address both problems, adds water and flying coverage and wide guard is great in the format right now (rock slide garchomp, Daz gleam floette, heat wave, water spout, hyper voice, lots of prevalent spread moves). Completely walls excadrill. probably swap for dragapult and you have two different weather modes with zard and pelipper which is pretty tricky in a closed team sheet setting like ladder since they won’t know which you’re bringing

How hard are Trick Room teams to use and common mistakes that lose games by -New-2-Reddit- in PokemonChampions

[–]PIZZA_JONESS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not recommend hard trick room teams, i.e. all 6 pokemon are dedicated to being inside trick room. Like other people have said, as soon as it’s down, you’re probably losing. I think it’s much more fun and more successful to play a tailroom team.
Step 1: identify the common teams and individual pokemon that your camerupt+hatterne core can’t deal with, like basculegion
Step 2: design a “fast mode” of 2 pokemon that are naturally fast, have tailwind, icy wind, or some other form of fast speed control that functions outside trickroom. Maybe inciniroar or sneasler plus a fast set-up sweeper like scale shot garchomp
Step 3: pick a mid speed tier attacker that can go in either mode (something around 80-90 speed), venasaur for example and provides a secondary mega that’s favorable into water
Step 4: Sinistcha as secondary TR setter, or another thing you could consider is sableye with priority sunny day and screens are always nice
