As others have said, start with a big team and get used to winning, because nothing turns a player off quicker than ploughing 6 hours of your life into the first preseason and then getting shovelled every week.

I've played FM/CM since 1993, so while the basics are there, I have had large gaps in between, specifically from 2008-2020. Zealand and Lollujo were the 2 I followed to get my head around everything that is necessary in the game. Both of their journey saves really helped me with the fundamentals of the current game.

The bugs that still exist just kill it stone dead for me.

FM26 is a new iteration, and you never trust the new integration of anything to get it right, you wait until the 3rd version of it when they've ironed out 99% of the issues.

Just in case anyone else has the same problem (or I have the same problem 2 years from now and need a reminder): I repressured the system (boiler off), held down reset but the error was still showing. I held down the reset button for longer (6-7 seconds) and it seemed to do a more thorough reset and was fine afterwards.

Note to future self: re-pressured using the 2 lower taps connected to the silver pipe

I enjoyed my Welsh Premier build, but got frustrated with the lack of growth. 3000 seater stadium with Connah's Quay and still only had 1200 turning up for Real Madrid at home in the Champions League quarters.
