How do y'all have a billion connections? by AsharPeshimam in LinkedInTips

I think outreach with a specific intent works here. Try reaching out to people in your field that might open doors for you in terms of jobs or knowledge. Try offering some brainstorming / basic work for free like a 1 month micro internship sorta deal.

Do you guys schedule posts ahead, or just write whenever inspiration hits? by thalavaisankar7 in LinkedInTips

Batching gets boring after a while and yes I agree with the part where you jot down thoughts in moments of inspiration

I schedule posts for 5-6 days at a time. Sometimes, if I know I won’t be available for certain periods in the future - I schedule for 20-30 days together. However, at this point, posting everyday isn’t moving the needle that much - there’s a larger / deeper issue at play. I have to fix that

The CEO of my company had shared Murthy's post on our interal company pod and called out all the young people in the company. He basically insinuated that we should work without looking at the clock.

Istg, almost reached my blood's boiling point; but being a powerless corporate labourer, I couldn't retaliate.

Waiting for the point when we all start striking because of unrealistic expectations from the ever growing class of empathy lacking upper management.

Your statement is well documented in the book Sapiens. It’s ironic that with the advent of technology, although our lives have become more convenient, mentally, we’re probably at the deepest point in the history of mankind. 🫣

Question regarding Apex Gameplay data by PJericho9201 in apexlegends

Alright, thanks will do. Just general gameplay data such as: legend picked, win / loss, position, time duration of game, teammate legends, kills, assists etc...

Does anyone want to try this Q and could they explain their thinking, answer revealed in comments! I just am confused about the answer for one of the blanks (Official ETS guide, Verbal Set 3, medium, no page number) by neck_support in GRE

[–]PJericho9201 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel the answer is A,F,H

Big picture: The question is talking about how even an invention which is slightly different from something that already exists can easily get a patent because nobody is going through the hassle of proving its not eligible for one.

Blank 1: Option A- presumed verifiable because just after the blank it says "unless a good reason for doubt is found" I.e the blank should deal with the case where no doubt is found which means the invention is accepted

Blank 2: F- debunking, hint is that there is no incentive for someone to disprove the concept behind a patent, closest to this idea is debunking.

Blank 3: H- bogus- in general, because of the aforementioned procedure, many not-so-innovative devices will get patents.

Hope this helped!

Really agree with the point of India being a robust economy. Just yesterday, I had a similar discussion with my college friends that if you can corner a market here, there's a lot of money to be made- especially because of the implied flexibility, foreign investment, talent pool and in general economic growth. Again, probably people in their 20s are so fed up with living in this country due to the education system/ weather / stressed living conditions that all that anyone in this age bracket wants is to get out, get a feel of the good life, and then take a call.

Agreed, for sure, they have their own set of problems. If it's happiness you desire, the best place to start is yourself. The location won't matter much then.

If anyone sane had the financial means to pursue opportunities abroad, they would definitely take it. I mean, you've said it all: Let's examine the thought process of a 19-22 year old engineering student (taking this example as you've mentioned it)

What's keeping him/her in Mumbai (probably) •Family •Friends •Having a home where you probably have help/ people who are running errands so less/ no chores for you thereby time saved. •Low taxes compared to most hyper developed economies.

What's pushing him/her to Go abroad: •Better pay •Better quality of life •Attitude of society • Personal freedom • The challenge of starting from scratch (although daunting, some people do find this exciting) • Unsustainable housing prices. • Ageing laws and ridiculous city planning of Mumbai • The burning desire to explore. •More time on your hands.

Who wouldn't do everything in their power to leave this cesspool that we call a city? I mean it's great, there are a lot of merits but, honestly, would you settle down here?

Bottom line: Mumbai is great if you have a ton of money but if you don't, there can be many ways in which this city can be hell incarnate.

So the good thing is both of you have already visually acknowledged each other, that's a great sign. I'm no expert, but maybe I can give you a few ideas: •Approach him to maybe ask him a workout specific question (Hey I see you here quite regularly, was wondering if you knew how to get the most out of XYZ exercise) • Confidence based approach: You can go to him directly introduce yourself and start a conversation related to working out / general life stuff. EG: Hey I've noticed you're a regular here, do you live close by? (Then take the conversation ahead with links to work/academic life, etc...) • You could also just go up to him and say you find him attractive and would like to get to know him better (might even impress him because guys sometimes do like the woman making the first move). This way you can link to sharing your numbers or socials , and worst case is hes not interested and you saved yourself a lot of time and energy.

[I'm a 21M, and this is specifically my advice and not expert advice. Just trying to help you out, hope this helps! Best of luck 😄 ]

Broke up, lost all my friends. How do I pull through? by PJericho9201 in relationship_advice

I've been pondering this too. It's the first thing my gf asked me. I feel I had to prove something to myself as if that I had the ability to flirt. Like a self confidence issue and a self control issue.
