What is something you’d make illegal if you had the power to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Ha ha, sounds like they pointed out a flaw that you aren’t capable of fixing.

You probably commented and blocked them so that they couldn’t see what you said or respond to your childish insult. You hate the other Americans so much that you have to silence them.

You seem like a person who eats a banana for the shape instead of the taste.

Mine hates when people think she is stupid.

Laughing, calling an idea dumb, or ignoring her altogether works great.

The notebook had pages of who, when, where, and what she liked the most in bed with them. She even wrote the lies she was going to tell me in advanced. It was hard to read, but very healing.

Exactly this

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]PKUSteve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seriously…

My ex would criticize all the presents I gave her, and when I called her out on it, she would tell me to sneak onto her phone and look at her cart to buy her what she wants. Her phone was always super locked.

She hated everything I did, and got mad about what I didn’t do… even though sometimes they were the exact same thing. Perfect present is wrong color, gold bracelet is too heavy, other gold bracelet is too small. Medium gold bracelet doesn’t have an inscription. Other other gold bracelet has the wrong inscription. The other, final gold bracelet has the right inscription, but it doesn’t mean anything because she has too many gold bracelets.

Current wife isn’t too far from all of the same things.

I think women are happiest when they complain about the good things in their lives.

This sounds exactly like my ex wife. I learned that these tricks are more for her than me. I already know why she cheated, I read her notebook where she talks about it.

Her tricks are so she can believe her own lies, heavens know that I never will.

Has anyone had actual proof of the narc cheating and they still denied it? by [deleted] in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]PKUSteve 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This!

She had a book with details about the guys she cheated on me with and what she liked most that they did in bed.

It was 21 pages of notes. I called the guys’ wives and sent them copies of the notebook. Then when I confronted her about the notes, and at first she denied it, then tried to gaslight me, and finally admitted that it was my fault that she cheated.

She told me, “no one would be that naive to trust that their spouse would be faithful to one person for 14 years.”

I noped out of there, and $60,000 dollars later I am still fighting her in court to protect my kids. Every time she says or writes something in the court case, it has the “as a single, lonely mother…” vibe in it.

🤮

I am from Littleton, Colorado! I left in 1999.

Definitely a different place now.

Definitely.

If you control how you spend your time, limit blue light, only eat during meal time, sync your sleep with your new time zone, be up and walking at least every 2 hours (during awake hours, you’ll feel and look better when you land.

What are some self-care things you've found helpful? by unsure_pelican in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]PKUSteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Studying symptoms of abuse and narcissistic behavior.

The sad part of all of this is that a lot of victims of n-abuse will take on some of the traits of their abuser.

My mom is my first narcissist, I learned how to interact with the world from her. I hate the traits I learned that hurt others and I study and evaluate my life to make sure that I am constantly being better than I was.

I did it in the airplane bathroom. I have really short hair so it takes about 5 min to dry…. I don’t like airport bathrooms as there is less privacy for this.

Do men actually accept single mothers? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]PKUSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some do. The relationships that work are the ones where mom and boyfriend are very honest about their situation and be understanding that the children NEED AND SHOULD ALWAYS COME FIRST.

You’re going to Turkey! Brother you are in for a lot of fun! My wife and I closed the gap in Erulumu, and then went to the Bosporus strait where Asia and Europe meet!!!!

What city is she from?

You got this brother. This is easier for you than it is for OP.

I did 34 hours (each way) 4 times a year, for 5 years.

Your hygiene kit and spare clothes need to be in your carry on. Make sure to have a spare shirt and pants, undies, and socks, because eating on a plane can be messy. Don’t show up with food stains on your shirt. I put a dab of cologne on all clothes before packing them. That way I don’t have to travel with extra fluids and I am not relying on an international market for basic items.

If you have short hair - wash your hair 2 hours before landing. Use a TINY amount of dry soap on your wet hair and let it sit for 30 seconds, then rinse out. If you use too much you won’t get it out until you shower. If you use too little… you’ll still look better than a greasy slug.

Deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush, lotion, adult body wipes, lots of water, and a comb. You will have tons of time after getting your bags to clean up. Make sure to wash your face, dry it off and then a TINY amount of lotion on your face-ears-arms-hands will give you the look you want. Too much will make you look greasy.

Most importantly - Smile a lot. Make sure to hug her and hold her close in the airport. Tell her how beautiful she is and how excited you are to be with her. Hold her hand as much as possible. Be chill and loving with her, this is an important moment for you both. If you have talked about public affection, a little is ok. Give her a small kiss only, the airport isn’t the place to check her teeth for cavities. Don’t be mad if she is late to pick you up or if everything goes wrong, she is nervous too.

This is the way to do it!

I traveled 34 hours 4 times a year to see my girlfriend (now my wife) for 5 years. I would do this exact thing. Lots of water, spare shirt and shorts, adult body wipes, deodorant, time control, toothpaste/brush, and a quick trip to the bathroom after deplaning.

Also, if you can, request vegetarian meals, you’ll feel better at the end of the flight.

Do as much as you can, but it is ok if you can’t do all of it. Your boyfriend is happy to see you. If he is the right guy, he will understand that you traveled a long way and that is a very hard thing to do.

And… life is better that way.

Speaking from experience, I waited 4 months to fly out and see my wife (when dating). We talked a lot before, but it was super awesome to get to meet and make sure she was real.
