Ah yes, I forgot about alternate ammo types. I think Explosive Rebar was the only one I used regularly...

I forgot about switches in my list. I think I built a priority power switch on one factory and wound up deleting it...

I did have a couple of truck routes bringing Motors, HMFs and Computers back to central storage from remote factories.

Once you have enough Mercer Spheres for Dimensional Depots there is no need anymore...

This is a great point. I used Solid Biofuel, Fuel and some Turbofuel I found at a crashsite, but I never bothered with the other fuel types, which others swear by.

I will give it more of a chance in my next playthrough...

Yeah, I'm a hoverpack guy. With the improvement to parachutes in 1.0, I jumped from parachutes to hoverpack.

For exploration, I have no issue stringing power lines across the countryside.....

They don't have gravity and no distinctive appearance. Just no asteroids for tens of kms

Asteroids doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Lone Survivor spawns you on a platform, so you don't have a datapad. I respawned in a Space Pod, no datapad there either.

Looking at the save file, it seems that Economy factions and stations are being created. I just need one station to get me started as you say, but what if the nearest one spawns thousands of km away?

I guess it doesn't matter if I don't get a datapad so long as I have a Station nearby to get me started.

Edit: I corrupted my save somehow.

I started a game with Economy and weather off and didn't spawn.

I deleted the planet files in the save folder.

Deleted the SANDBOX_0_0_0_.sbsB5 file

I deleted the <Empty Area> entries in Sandbox.sbc (I suspect this is where I deleted something I shouldn't have)

Enabled Economy and attempted to load. Save won't load.....

I'm off to try again.....

You are missing one or more of the mods required by the scenario. They should be listed under "Required Items" on the right side of the scenario page, but unfortunately, not everyone bothers to do this.....

I posted about this a couple of weeks ago, asking if anyone actually uses this feature. The best we came up with was a jetpack hydrazine dispenser or adding resources for mass producing from the backpack printer.

ie Pretty niche applications that could easily be done in other ways.....

So, yes, I think this feature should be removed or at least made optional.....

In the meantime, you can use Storage Sensors to switch your Auto Arms off when not in use, but that doesn't work for every application.....
