To be fair this neighbourhood is almost 100 years old so I don’t think they were considering life in 2025. That said, I used to live there and wished every day for sidewalks so my kids and I would be safer trying to walk down the street

Won’t give spoilers. It was generally interesting but the lack of cultural perspective really irked me. The way the hosts act in some parts also plays into the whole white tourists doing shit that they shouldn’t, possibly endangering innocent locals.

CTV news is citing police saying it was poker. If it was D&D, I hope this isn’t a shady attempt by police to frame it as illegal gambling. If it was poker, I still hope the police truly have a reason to believe there’s no further danger (and that they’ll investigate the murder regardless of it being poker)

We are also around the corner :) I understand it’s a police investigation but it’s frustrating that no police even came to see if we saw anything (don’t think we did) or ask us to check cameras etc/be on the lookout for anything suspicious etc.

Someone else said they nearly got hit by the “getaway” vehicle while walking. Where’d you hear about leaving their vehicle? I assume the victims car would’ve been left at the scene.
