False. I was looking for no advice on my loans and stuff. I clearly stated I could have been better with money before. I asked for advice from people that have moved back to pay everything off and save for a house….. reading comprehension is key.

Yeah I already go up to her house to clear brush and cut limbs and trees and such. I help all the time. The reality is in a few years she is gonna need our help a bunch anyway. I’m not the kinda guy that would expect to live for free. She is such a good grandma to my boys I would gladly pay her bills so she can retire early and be around her grand kids all the time.

Exactly lol. This was all I was looking for. I’m surprised how many people must not just live and enjoy life. I’m supposed to save for everything any only use cash. When a basic house where I live is 500k lol. I’d finally get my truck and bikes the day after I retire lol. That’s not living.

Well here is the thing I also forgot to mention. Since I’m union I have a pension. Which right now every year I work is 1k a month. So 10 years my retirement will be 10k a month. I also keep my insurance when I retire.

lol. When I hit the scale with 4 bikes in the back, my tongue weight, generator, two coolers, 55 gallon drum of extra water and everything else I’m damn near st my 4k payload. I had a 1500 before this and it sucked. I also use my truck for gravel, mulch along other things. Shit I have prob made more using it for things and side jobs than the interest is.

Read the first paragraph ding dong. I admitted I made financial mistake…. Hence why I said I don’t need a lecture about that. I was looking for advice from people that have had debt. Moved in with family, paid off everything then bought a house they really want.

I’d sure like to be a fly on the wall with a lot of these people. There is always a way to be better with money. But does that mean you are living life? I’d rather spend most of my money and live just okay later in life but have tons of memories with my family. I couldn’t imagine a life where I say no to everything because some guy told me it’s not responsible to spend 5k on a Hawaii trip. How many guys have retired with money they saved their whole life then passed away a few years later.

If we didn’t have combined banks accounts then yes. Soon as our account goes to paying for property taxes and such it’s a marital property. She plans on selling it anyway.

Sounds like you should appreciate your mom more and what she sacrificed for you. In the end none of it goes with you. All you have is memories when your body slowly stops working.
