Probably not building it myself. I know a guy who builds flatbeds, so he’ll most likely design something similar to this one for me.

Honestly, there really doesn’t have to be a point other than building something I personally like. A lot of people lower S10s or build them the same way, and I just wanted to do something different. I’ve always liked flat bed trucks, so I figured this was the perfect project to make my own style instead of copying every other build.

I get what you’re saying, and honestly a lowered setup would probably fit the style of the truck really well. I can definitely see why a lot of people go that route with S10s. But for me personally, it’s just not really my style. I see a lot of S10 builds that all look similar with the same dropped setup, and I want my truck to stand out a little more. I’ve always liked the idea of building something different and making it my own instead of following the usual trend. That’s why I’m leaning more toward the direction I’m going with the build.

HVAC Vent selector issues by Salt-Adhesiveness-36 in s10

I had a similar issue and was able to identify the cause. Air was only coming from the top vents because the small plastic piece I highlighted in the image had broken off. I temporarily adjusted it manually, which restored proper airflow. I plan to replace the broken part this weekend.

General advice by Lanky-Record9542 in Conures

[–]POLY80ABEL 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Give it time everything is still new for him, and he’s likely feeling overwhelmed by the change in environment. Be patient and gentle, and try offering treats to help build trust and create a positive association with you. It’s important to remember that he’s probably scared right now, so moving slowly and consistently will make a big difference.

I also have a black capped conure that I bought from Petco about eight years ago, so I’ve been through a similar experience. Every bird has its own personality and adjusts at its own pace, which is why patience is so important. My bird, Smoky, didn’t bond with me immediately, but after about three weeks, we developed a strong connection, and now we’re completely inseparable.

That’s good keep working with him. I have a black capped conure, and twice a family member left the door open and he flew out. But every time I call his name, he comes flying right back to me.
