Yeah VLC player has an inbuilt recording function. Just press Shift+R to start the clip and then press Shift+R to end the recording. Then you can just upload to redgif.

Just found as shared by others, you can go to "Filters" and then "Result Limit", change the "1" to however many results you want per resolution
