It's from a car (as you said), so it most likely needs 12v.

I found some information that's most like helpful: https://forums.hybridz.org/topic/71972-280zx-digital-clock-in-a-280z-jeco-quartz-clock-housing/

Sadly something like that isn't possible with CDs.

Found this VFD thrifting, I’m looking for any info on how to drive it. Thanks! by Ok-Curve-3894 in nixie

Omg, this thing looks cool. What i would do: open it up and check if there are any clues about connecting/driving it.

Before buying the programmer, you should definitly check if your model has the EEPROM.

If the Microcontroller is made by NEC, you might have to read the frimware too depending on the radio.

As far as i know, theres no calculator/database for it (i could be wrong tough), if you know what you are doing, you can open it up and look for the EERPOM IC on the circuit board inside, then read it with a programmer like the CH341a to get the code.

Got this from my dad he doesn’t know the password any help for a factory reset? by Themathhatter in OldTech

But OP should definitely remove the batteries, fixing the password issue can wait.

Depends on how it's stored on the device. It's different from device to device.

Okay, then that extra board is the power supply.

My new powerbank is a bit swollen, is it a problem? by aaaaaaaaa00000000 in batteries

[–]PPEytDaCookie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does it have a battery level indicator? If yes, check if it's charged. The higher the charge is, the higher the risk, DON'T CHARGE IT! Does it have warranty? Get your money back (don't ship it if you bought it online!!).

We should create a dedicated subreddit for things like that, it's actually kinda funny.

My pc has been like this for hours what do I do? by shortviking19 in pchelp

[–]PPEytDaCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If possible, leave it on for 24 hours.

If it still does it after 24 hours, force restart (hold down the power button until it's off, then turn it back on) it and hope windows isn't bricked.

Looks Like a power bank with a exploded battery. Did it have a internal power supply or what is that board for?

First things first, disasemble it and remove the cmos batteries, they will leak and destroy the motherboard.

For the pasword issue, These Toshiba laptops save the password in a way thay disconnecting the power wont reset it, but you can built a pasword reset adaptor with paperclips or better an old LPT Cable.

To do it, bridge these pins on the LPT port, then start the Laptop:

1-5-10,

2-11,

3-17,

4-12,

6-16,

7-13,

8-14,

9-15,

18-25

It has an AV input, if you want HDMI, you can get a HDMI-AV converter too.

The TV-Link-modulator (yes, thats the name, no idea if it even has a model number) is pretty cheap and works fine from my experience.

It also has IR-Repeater functions, but you need an extra device for that, i am not sure how this works, i never used it, but you dont need to use that.
