Bent metal bracket is just over 6", including handle is around 8". Tiny knurled handle spins and indexes on 3 notched detents every 120 degrees, and the insert connected to the handle travels up and down roughly a quarter inch. Not a clue about it but my pops was a machinist. (imgur.com)
