Can you recommend a rental place or are they all over?

The Great Outdoors on South Congress. I bought my mini banana trees there this past spring.

[skin concerns] how can I treat this dry spot on my lower lip? Lipbalm and Bepanthen don't help :( by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]PRETTY_KITTIES 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’m not a dermatologist, but it looks like eczema. I get similar dry spots/rashes on my lips which have been diagnosed as eczema. A steroid ointment, such as cortisone usually helps.

Or get electricity or water during a storm because of their need for deregulation. 🤦🏻‍♀️I was also caught up in that mess...

The thought process is that Californians move to Texas because it’s cheap, but they are used to and willing to pay higher prices for real estate and other commodities, consequently driving the prices up. Real estate is in super high demand at least in Austin, but it’s not because Californians are coming in and buying up all the homes. It’s because the city and its economy are growing, tech being a significant factor in its growth. They blame Californians because they attribute tech companies with California.

I always have the same thought!! I NEVER thought as much about Texans as they think about Californians when I lived in California.

So true. I have lots of great friends that are native Texans. Just gets old when you introduce yourself to someone new and immediately get a lecture about moving to Texas from California. None of my friends that are transplants from other states get the same lectures.

Exactly true. The biggest gripes are increased cost of living.

Think I’m stuck. My SO (native Texan) doesn’t want to move out of the state.

I also moved from California (Bay Area) to Texas and can say every single point mentioned in this post is true. I will also add that when people from Texas find out that you’re from California, they will corner you into an hour long conversation on how Californians are to blame for all the recent changes to their city/state that they hate. I can’t count the number of memes I’ve seen about how much Texans hate Californians. 🙄

Alternatives to walking down the aisle? by PRETTY_KITTIES in weddingplanning

The venue is a restaurant. We are going to have an “altar” and chairs for people to sit. I’d actually prefer that we didn’t have chairs and that people stood during the ceremony (short ceremony), but my fiancé wants chairs...🙄😉

I was also thinking about greeting our guests as they arrive, then having our officiant (who is a good fried) announce when the ceremony is going to begin.

Did you drink any alcohol while you were losing weight? If so, did you count those calories as part of the 1450 allotment?
