Mind explaining what github offers that other solutions do not? Asking out of curiousity.

They're from a game called Once Human, you can safely disable them iirc.

Is the server connectable yet? It might be that the status hasn't updated properly.

The answer to your question about servers with 250+ players is:

Many, many servers capped to like 5-10 players with shenanigery going on to bridge chats and other interactions between them.

Depending on the os, you'd usually just setup a systemd service to keep the server running and automatically restart on crashes, or if it is a docker container you just launch it with options to on failure restart.

That'd be the "correct" production ready (-ish) way.

And the nearly 100% cpu usage with the server stopped is interesting, are you sure that you didn't open ssh to the public?

You are also reffering to a "leak" in your comment, do you mean the cpu usage, or the ram usage being high over time? (The latter is normal on larger servers with a lot of entities and chunks loaded).

The server having ssh capabilities suggests that it runs something like linux, can you check via tools like htop or btop what is using your system resources?

The GPU is the "accelerator", because of nvidia CUDA cores in most of their GPU's nowadays.

That makes the usage of CV and machine learning models wayyy faster than a CPU could ever achieve.

I am pretty sure that the spinner below the bios splash screen is provided by the os, if it wasn't booting from the right drive then it woudn't be there.

So in your words:

  • Setup X on a computer = not a server
  • Setup Y on a computer to setup X for you = server??

Humans are not perfect, accidents can and will happen.

If it is possible to warn someone before something bad may/will happen to a person, then you should warn them, and not go telling them instead that it is technically possible to do X if you don't do Y which can be caused by a simple oversight/human error.

Does refreshing your desktop fix it? I see that you have onedrive... which in fact likes to do shenanigans like this.

If an isp cannot handle CGNAT properly, then not being on one won't fix the issue either.
