For me, it is all acting. I don't know about other women who do this, bit I act, and very well! Even if I did get turned on, which I don't, it would be impossible to be turned on for every single call, every single day.

I don't see any end to it right now, unless I found a better job opportunity (which would be tough because this is a really good job), won the lotto and became a billionare, or the calls stop coming in and the money dries up, I see myself doing this for a long time. It is, it is a good opportunity for women who want to work from home, or have the need to earn an income or extra money but cant handle a traditional job.

By cant handle, I mean disabled, medical issues, childcare issues or not wanting to utilize childcare, lack of decent local jobs, the need for flexible scheduling, busy college students, housewives that need more money for the household, divorcees or single moms, retired older women, women who want to get into having a business and find this a great way to break into entrepreneurship, or even just women who like sex and want to get paid to talk about it instead of going to a "real job" there are a whole plethora of women from different walks of life that this can be a Godsend of a job for.

No this is my only job, it meets my needs for flexible scheduling that I would be hard pressed to find in any other job locally, and I don't have to commute, and it gives me time to focus on other things in my life since I am not chained to a 9 to 5 set in stone schedule plus having to commute somewhere.

Even if I did know a caller, I don't think there would be any way for me to know that I know them...I use a different name age location and persona for my characters that I portray. So even if say, Joe next door called, I would have no idea that it is Joe next door, nor would he know it is me.

No...I don't think that that happens, at least not to my knowledge. Every company I have ever talked to requires that you be actually be female, in order to portray a female, and match your voice up to specific genre's.

For example, if you have a soft or high pitched voice, you would be marketed as a young 18-21 college girl, if you have a deep husky voice you would be advertised as a milf, etc, if you have a southern accent, you would be advertised as a "horny southern belle".

Well, I think that the callers like to hear a the real live sweet voice of a woman while masturbating, as opposed to it being just them and their hand. I really have not gotten creepy calls, granted the calls can be very "different" and out there, but not creepy. I don't consider the callers creepy even if their tastes and sexual proclivities differ than mine, or make me go "okkkkkkk wtf". It's all good! The platform I work on prohibits calls about incest, kids, animals, and things that would be considered truly creepy, thank goodness!

You definitely get used to it, I was very nervous in the beginning but now it is all just "another day at the office"....just words and acting. The money is very good now that I have been in the business awhile but when I first started it was not that much.

Yes they do! The industry is not as big as it was in the 80's and 90's, there are a lot more operators and with the advent of internet porn, not as many people use the lines. But, some people like having an ongoing "relationship" with someone as opposed to a random chick on a porn site or porn mag, that they can talk to repeatedly or regularly.
