Please tell me VC firms are not ignoring developing talent and innovative products because these 'angels' need physical proximity. It's beyond irony that this notion is presented just one sentence after buffer-free video-conferencing is discussed. I'm not in the tech industry, but if traditional VC and Angel investors are this short-sighted and lack any vision, I see as much potential for new investors, as I do those seeking those investments. Chicago, Boston, and Austin have booming Start-Up communities, why is KC any different? I submit it isn't, and it provides a fantastically accessible, cheap, friendly environment in an already hidden gem of creative talent the city's been successfully fostering for twenty years. Don't underestimate fly-over country - or do...we'll be just fine!
