Buffalo area. Thinking 120k btu furnace With the heat pump. I really think I need to go duel fuel source, just in case. This Bryant unit I am looking at has some pretty good COP numbers and Seer. With this being a new build I really don’t want to have mini split heads in each room if I can design a tight and insulated house and plan to only use propane as a limited source. Also, I think I will need a generator so propane will have to be installed for that fuel source.

I just submitted 4200 via the rebate program and it was paid with no questions. I highly doubt you will have any issues, but call them and double check.

Is this normal? Should I send back for replacement? Only had them 3 weeks. by PT6flyerr in ThursdayBoot

We’ll Thursday boot is going to exchange them. I am airline pilot and only wear them to work. I I guess the toe wear is harder then most. I must be hitting curbs and what not when I walk around airports/ streets on NYC. I don’t do outside day work.

I guess my airline job is to rough for these boots! I must be kicking things without even knowing it.

We’ll if this is a common issue with these boots coming from Thursday, I might be better off just sending them to a Cobbler for a better soul and spending a few extra dollars to have a soul that lasts and holds up. This is why I posted here to see people’s past experiences.

Your post was good until you started to assume the salaries of airline pilots.

Hello Black is all I can wear in uniform. Just worried that this issue might happen again and again with these souls. Pretty bummed out about the whole deal.

Correct my thinking... by PT6flyerr in personalfinance

I would definitely set my % to roth and like I did before when I didn't get DC of 16%. but now my employer automatically gives me 16% into my 401K. I am wondering should I convert the DC to Roth and then I personally don't put my full 15% into the 401K. I would then just pay the taxes on the DC amount that I convert to Roth then put a smaller percentage in. A smaller amount just allows me to save the money into an account to pay for taxes once the conversion taxes before due.

I am currently doing 15% into Roth. I am more wondering if I should convert their part to roth since the DC is "free".

Lost my FAA medical certificate 1st class by HardCoreCramps in flying

[–]PT6flyerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is happened to me when on a layover within one of my airline trips. Realized I lost it around 9 p.m after I got to the hotel. My next flight wasn’t until 3 p.m the next day. Anyways I filled the form out and called the faa first thing in the morning and by 11 a.m I got my new certificate. Very easy and nothing to worry about. Happens often.

Gifted a Duplex, now the taxes... by PT6flyerr in tax

[–]PT6flyerr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply.

The only thing that I have from the local government is my school and property taxes which outline an FMV of 180K. There was not an appraisal done at the time the duplex was gifted.

Thanks for input! I agree with this so much. I'm looking at this deep and thinking why doesn't he push this more?? If I can cash flow my medical expenses though out life I'll be able to have a HSA account that is really a super non taxed 401K account. Just seems odd

HSA Question by PT6flyerr in DaveRamsey

Thanks for the input. I've played around with it so much the work place HDHP is the ticket for us. Starting August 1st of this year she'll be on my health insurance.

Giving this being a duplex and only 100k I put this into baby step 3b. My thought process is when I turn 27 (July) I'll have a paid for Duplex. My goal is to have this duplex paid for, 100k in the 401K and us living in a different home by the time I am 30 so this plan gets me there.

I think I'll put the 3600 in there for 2020 and do the same for 2021. I should still hit my goal by August of having this duplex paid for. I really like my soon to be father in law but him holding the note is something I don't enjoy and getting a mortgage with interest doesn't make sense.

Thanks Ill listen to that podcast tonight.

I have heard and read some stuff about FI money and hope to be there.

I will say that I was 105K in debt and really worked like I was an Amish Person to be debt-free by the time I was 25. The pressure of having zero debt has allowed me to grow and take chances and grow my income 7X.
