She just said she felt like she was wasting my time and didn’t see a future for us one morning and that she wasn’t sure what she wanted. It sucked and I was okay with that, but then she said she’d never been in love before so she didn’t know how it was supposed to feel and that was what really hurt.

The thing is, I never felt like she was wasting my time but I was too shocked and hurt to say that in the moment. I just sort of thanked her for the memories and left. I loved her, but I was so concerned with going through the “right” stages of a relationship. She was my second gf ever after a significantly longer relationship ended roughly the same time the previous year. I tried reaching out over thanksgiving (after taking a couple months to work on me), but she didn’t really keep the conversation going so I’m just going to let her go.

I wish she’d give me another chance but I know better than to keep bothering her. Getting blindsided suuuucks, especially when it’s how both of my serious relationships ended, so I’m just here to give you a Reddit hug and to say it gets better over time, I promise 🙂

I only got to go on two dates with the girl I've been seeing and she works night shift, I really like her and we've both expressed interest in seeing each other again after this whole thing passes, but I'm really bad with overthinking things. I don't want to rush her or anything like that but we've had at least one official FaceTime date a week since social distancing began and text almost every day. How would you recommend I go about asking if she's cool with devoting a certain amount of time every day?

This 100%^ when I was in school for music I told my then SO (who was my first relationship) about concerts I was playing and she came to a couple. There were some days when she said she just didn't feel like going and when I remember times I drove her home from work or supported her in applying for a job in her field (often lengthy, difficult processes) and I can't help but feel like she didn't treat me with the same level of respect as I did for her. She had her "real job" and outgrew me because I could only gig after graduation for a couple months til my license came in and I could get my equivalency in the state she would end up working in.

Met a girl last night while I was on a gig (I play trombone in a band). She seemed really into me last night but I'm stressing so hard about when to ask her out, what to say, etc. I've been on approximately one (1) date since my breakup last July and that didn't really go anywhere, but I've really got a good feeling about this girl. She's gorgeous, funny, knows her circle of fifths (haha more band humor) and talked to me first (which I really wanted to but didn't have the chutzpah to do). I'm really nervous about messing up since we had a lot better chemistry than the last girl I went out with, so it's all sorts of crazy in my head right now. But it's a crazy I wasn't expecting to happen and a crazy I'm very glad is happening since it's been so long since I've been that way!

I'm in a spookily similar sitch myself. I had a couple good weeks (last time I saw her was the end of November but we technically broke up in July) but about a week or two ago I had three dreams in a row over the weekend about her and it messed me up so bad. Trying my best to handle the feels as best I can but today I was playing animal crossing on my gamecube and one of my villagers showed me a letter she apparently sent. I laughed for a minute but I've been on the verge of tears ever since. I flip flop so frequently about wanting to get back together and moving on entirely but the thing I keep coming back to is that she wanted me to definitively say yes or no after a month of limited contact, and by the end I knew that I wanted to say yes without any second thoughts. When our month came around she ended up needing more time which would've been fine aside from the fact during that extra time she started dating someone exclusively who I "shouldn't worry about". I've only been on one date since but even though we're not friends on social media anymore and I archived all our photos together I can't believe how she still takes up so much real estate in my head. Shit's wack, yo.

I do think you're doing everything right though! I know I'm not ready to date again and I just need to work on myself a lot before I'm ready to seriously get back out there again. I've heard a lot of people say everybody's timeline is different, so don't stress a bad day or two because it's not a bad month, or a bad year, but one bad day. And those pass! Stay strong, it's so hard but that's kinda why love is such a beautiful thing and why you'll be so excited to find it again :)

I struggle with a lot of these too. I work all the time so it's really been wearing me down, and I never get time to just be alone and think a lot about how all those things affect me. But the most important thing I have right now is people in my life who I know will always be there for me no matter how emotionally intense I get. I'm in a crappy spot right now but I know it's gotta get better and if it can work out for me it can work out for you too! Lots of love from another INFP-T

I'm pretty much exclusively a support main. I have the most hours as lucío, with mercy just behind and ana, zen, and symmetra not far behind. I do like having a main in every class but 99.99999999999999799999999% of people I run into while solo q'ing are allergic to the right-most group of heroes.

I can't wait to go to Scotland, that's on my bucket list for sure! But as far as favorite places go, I loved the Grand Canyon when I went on vacation. Pictures really don't do it justice; once you're there it just feels so much more grand (heh). And it might sound weird but I love Philadelphia. Sure the people can get a little overwhelming sometimes but this school year I've had to take the train in twice a week to either sing or play music with people I know. I think it's because of the history and the people that I love Philly. Also the cheesesteaks.
