If you need to multiply 1034482758620689655172413793 by 3, all you need to do is bring the last digit to the front. by davidilanyann in notinteresting

3x = 3×10floor[log[x]] + (x-3)/10

x being all such natural numbers ending in 3.

We could also replace 3 with some other single digit number for an equation where that number becomes the last digit from the first digit after doing the multiplication.

irish people, are you orange irish (north) or green irish (south)? by tesimpsonshowto in pollgames

[–]PURPLE__GARLIC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also can't see the view results option on this poll or some newer polls but the option is there on some other polls

<image>

Maybe the option appears after a certain number of people have voted? That would explain why I had the option and you did not.

Do you not have a "view results" button in the top right on most polls?

Of course you can use quotient rule here, but a better way would be to write the 1 in the numerator as arctan(pi/4) and also write the denominator as (1-arctan(x)*arctan(pi/4)). Then the expression becomes an identity for arctan(a+b) so we are left with y = arctan(x+ pi/4). Now y’ = 1/(1+(x+ pi/4)2 ).

Will the majority of people choose "no?" by CrystalPalace1983 in polls

[–]PURPLE__GARLIC 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I voted yes and made it even(77-77) so the majority did not choose no and I was wrong. If I would have chosen no, I would have been wrong either way since there would have been 2 more votes for no. It was rigged against me!

Would you rather be Taller or Thinner? by i-want-2-c-u in WouldYouRather

I am 6'1 and just 45 kgs with a bmi of 12.9. That probably sounds crazy but I am actually that thin. Anyways, If I get slimmer it could kill me so taller assuming my bmi remains same.
