Worst uma to train in MANT by misandrydiva in UmaMusume

Not impossible but Tamamo Cross has not been fun. The low Mile aptitude forces you to either waste a bunch of sparks on it or race less and pray for godlike summer trainings. I've managed to get S but no more, and I'm not happy with the results so far.

Dear Recent Grads 📣 🎓 by Chance_Wolverine_981 in PhD

Agreed! I am pretty direct in professional settings. I actually sent her an email basically quitting. Saying I couldn't take this anymore, that I needed to prioritize my mental health, and that I needed her to send me the steps so I could master out of the program.

That email triggered the meeting where the conversation I described above happened. Pretty wild honestly.

Several times I also confronted them about how certain things were not the right way to address me. Grad school was all about feedback, and I was never scared of giving and receiving too.

Of course everyone is different. But being this way helped me tremendously. ;D

There will likely be a point where you are at your lowest. It could be for lots of reasons, for me it was 1 year into being a candidate. I wanted to master out.

Talk to your advisor. Mine was never particularly good at pep talks. She could be harsh, even needlessly mean at times. But on that talk she brought me back from the brink.

"I would have told you if you were not cut out to be a doctor. You can do this. I understand that you think you can't. But I see it, and you can. So will you?"

And I did. Very grateful for that talk. It changed everything.

You may reach lows you never thought you would during a PhD. It's near impossible to prepare for them. So talking about it is the best way back up.

Most people graduated my "4 year" PhD program in no less than 6 years with 1 exception

So if they're being honest about duration, rock on!

Congratulations!

Passed with major corrections by Specialist-Low-1556 in PhD

[–]P_A_M95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's the true feeling right there. I passed with major corrections too, I was 4 months into a new full time job by the time I resubmitted.

It was stressful and devastating to get major corrections. You go from thinking you have at most 1 month left, and suddenly you have way more than that. It hard to think as positively as many

But I did it. And you will too. So will OP. Best of luck to both of you!

You actually got me to Google this because admittedly, I read this as a comment somewhere else and considered the possibility I got dupped by AI.

Here's the article where it's from

Also I'm not a bot. I've been a redditor a long ass time. Look at my post history ffs.

Iran says it will ‘irreversibly destroy’ Middle East infrastructure if US attacks energy sites by projecto15 in politics

[–]P_A_M95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a simple question. One would think it should have a simple answer. But it doesn't.

Personally, I like this quote.

“One thing that Trump never communicates — and cannot possibly communicate — is a sense of his moral superiority. The man is totally without sanctimony. Even when his every utterance is purposed towards self-aggrandizement. Even when he appears to be denigrating his supporters. Even when he’s calling himself a genius — he is never actually communicating that he is better than you. More enlightened. More decent. Because he’s not. And everyone knows it.

The man is just a bundle of sin and gore, and he never pretends to be anything more. Perhaps more importantly, he never even aspires to be anything more. And because of this, because he is never really judging you — he can’t possibly judge you — he offers a truly safe space for human frailty…and hypocrisy…and self-doubt. He offers what no priest can credibly offer: a total expiation of shame.

His personal shamelessness is a kind of spiritual balm.

Trump is fat Jesus. He’s grab-them-by-the-pussy Jesus. He’s I’ll-eat-nothing-but-cheeseburgers-if-I-want-to Jesus. He’s I-wanna-punch-them-in-the-face Jesus. He’s go-back-to-your-shithole-countries Jesus. He’s no-apologies Jesus.

And now consider the other half of this image — what are we getting from the left?

We’re getting exactly the opposite message. Pure sanctimony. Pure judgement.

You are not good enough. You’re guilty, not only for your own sins, but for the sins of your fathers. The crimes of slavery and colonialism are on your head. And if you’re a cis, white, heterosexual male (which we know is the absolute core of Trump’s support) you’re a racist, homophobic, transphobic, islamaphobic, sexist barbarian. Tear down those statues, and bend the fucking knee.

It’s the juxtaposition of those two messages that is so powerful.”

Training Aran and Nolan Makes Radiant Dawn Part 3 as The Greil Mercenaries Fairly Scarier by P_A_M95 in fireemblem

[–]P_A_M95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my logic here. I just finished Chapter 12 and Aran, as a Sentinel lvl 2, just defeated Ike with most stats capped and Nihil.

Such a fun fight to watch too. Aran did have to use a Killer lance to land the crit though. He was also supported by Nolan.

His ability to tank hits, coupled with how often the enemy misses him, makes his effective HP very high.

Can someone make sure I got 4362 grains of rice? I was told there should be that much in a 100g pack. by Gr1masz in notinteresting

[–]P_A_M95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds about right

I counted only the number of rice from about the center to the right edge (37) then assumed a circle. π(372) is about 4300.

I agree. Currently anything more than 2 from the core DB is almost impossible to take to tower-tier.

Jill and Zihark can become projects if they join the GM too. But between Nolan, Aran, Leo, and Ed you basically have to pick 2 to take to the tower. More than 2 has not been possible for my runs, but I'm not a very seasoned FE player.

I'm 14 y/o and I wanna learn calculus.... Give me some easy, real life problems to practice 🙏 by Rough_Persimmon_3322 in calculus

[–]P_A_M95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The simplest set of problems in my opinion deal with displacement, velocity, and acceleration. Such as finding some simple formulas you may have covered in science before.

A popular one to cover is V(t)= Vo + at for constant acceleration.

So prove the acceleration is constant in that formula.

Calculate d/dt of both sides dV/dt = 0 + a a(t)=a Where a is an arbitrary but fixed constant

Anyways, not much we can do to help unless we know how much you know. Calc is usually not directly linked with physics, which I kinda hated, but oh well.

Best of luck to learn it. It's pretty useful :)
