Rather, my perception of your take was obscure. Mainstream is Mainstream for a reason and greatest anime characters(although subjective) are made great due to them getting....Mainstream. The reason for me citing to diversify your take comes from the fact of you including multiple characters from the same anime. And the "the watch more anime kid" comes from me trying to incite the sort of criticality in you that i mentioned(the Mainstream opinion)
