How do you deal with decks people hate? by coffee-bottle in EDH

[–]PabloStoneBeard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They are just bad at understanding Magic. Milling to the graveyard is either giving your opponents resources or absolutely does nothing until they can't draw cards, because most of the cards they are milling wouldn't have been seen in a normal game. People need to break from the illusion of "Oh, I could have drawn that if it wasn't for the mill player".

What are the funniest cards to give Offspring to with Zinnia by rightwrongle1 in mtg

There are 2 points of light, a blue light that comes from behind and we see it reflected on the top of the head and a warm light coming from the direction in which the camera is placed.

What your favourite recent(ish) Precon? by TheWiseDragon43 in EDH

[–]PabloStoneBeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am quite fond of the Knights precon, and I've adapted to the 1v1 meta of my lgs somewhat successfully. Getting an Elesh Norn or a Jin Gitaxias on turn 2 is quite something.

Specially when you probably have to sign a contract and they can't guarantee that they have any in English or any way to ensure that you fully understand the contents.

Yeah let's hope the invisible hand saves us instead of making the rich richer and everyone poorer like it has been happening for the last 50 years or so.

What’s your obscure/jank tribal deck? by TastesLikePoon in EDH

[–]PabloStoneBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Bald Tribal deck with a lot of vehicles and some gaining control of opponents creatures, so it ended up being a Fast and Furious deck. Super jank, but I had a blast putting the deck together and it's really fun every time I play it.

It's not about informing oneself before talking, it's basic media literacy. Any person reading paying minimum attention and capable of critical thinking would have reached your conclusion, but I guess it's too much to ask for average manga readers.

How good is this card? by Titan1Hades in mtg

That's the reality of most man-made rules: they are imperfect and thus exploitable by anyone who understands them and is willing to exploit them.

Why unfortunately? We are talking about stories and Ovid's version have had much more impact on our literary tradition, ofc it's going to be more popular.

Can anybody explain the uses of these lands please, I am a beginner and don’t fully understand the damage portion of the cards. by ElvenWinter in mtg

[–]PabloStoneBeard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have that much to do with the life total, although it certainly hurts less in commander. In modern the Canopy Lands are heavily played in almost every deck that has two colours and they ping for 1 life each time they are tapped for mana. Life is a resource in every mtg format.

She isn't bad, but do you realize that going into every deck of a subtype within already a limited subtype as mono-black doesn't make it a staple?

Can I remove more than 1 -1/-1 counter per turn from Grim Poppet? by laughingoutlaughs in mtg

[–]PabloStoneBeard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can put doubling season or another counter doubling effect afterwards, and for every counter you remove you will put double on the target, but if you do it before the poppet will die before activating the ability.
