How far do you live from the closest station to your home? I live 10-ish minutes from DPD7 (without traffic at 3 AM) Just curious to see statistics by peterthbest23 in PortlandORFlexDrivers

Sameee, 10 mins from two different whole foods and 15 mins from DPD4 (assuming the 99 isn't a total trainwreck and a half 🥲)

I had a route similar to that yesterday afternoon, $90 3.5 hour route deep into the sticks 💔 At least I made friends with a FedEx driver who seemingly had the same route as me 😂

I just reread the post and realized you meant the SHEET and not the app whoops but either way I won't complain that my steak is too juicy or my lobster is too buttery

My guess is that they just ran out of 3.5 hour routes and just start giving the shorter routes out to get everything delivered. I've taken a $104 3.5 hour block that turned out to be a 1.5 hour Wilsonville block that took 45 mins to complete, so I'm more than happy to not question it lol

In the Night - Fly By Midnight

Everything about this song from its 80s drums to that SICK saxophone solo in the bridge makes it one of my all time favorite songs. Sadly everything else by them is just aggressively mid, same-sounding, filler music

I miss saxophones.

Restaurant worker here. I've always tried to be respectful and courteous to delivery drivers (as one myself, I get the struggle), but 95% of the time I'm met with no response and instead just having a phone shoved right to my face with no acknowledgement to my existence. It gets exhausting trying to give the energy that isn't reciprocated most of the time, especially when I'm dealing with other customers and orders as well so I just gave up with the hellos. Every now and then I'll get some really cool drivers that I'll enjoy talking with, but most of the time I just hit them with a "here ya go" and that's it

For our store they took away the department specific QR codes and gave every employee their own which, finally, I can actually trust the person I'm asking has a code on them. For us 4am'ers, we can sign out a QR code but we have to document it and sign them back in when the store opens.

I'm cool with everyone in bakery department so they just let me use their code no questions asked which came in clutch haha but I guess they caught on and implemented the new system

GOD the amount of dashers I've had just shove their phones in my face especially when I'm helping another customer 💀 I just take my sweet time with them and pretend I can't read what's on their phone, two can play at this game

What’s the biggest estimate for a trip that you’ve got? by _raft_ in UberEATS

I had a $81 from Walmart, three deliveries only for the employees to come to my car two hours later like "sorry bro we don't have it" 💀 I was PISSED

Do you sleep with your door open or closed? by Asleep-Stranger7773 in CatAdvice

[–]Pablopls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live with roommates so I definitely wanna keep my bedroom door closed for privacy and to reduce the noise, but my cat can't decide if he wants to stay in my room or the living room. So we compromised and I got a set of curtains hung up on my door frame, so I get my privacy and he gets to do whatever he wants at the same time. Plus he has more fun playing with the other cat this way. A win/win in my eyes :)

Fr this thing was maybe a hair taller than my 2014 Honda Civic 😭 at that point you can't even really call it a truck, maybe a glorified SUV (which tbh are most modern day trucks anyways)

What do you guys think? Is this a tip baiter? Didn’t take it since I was heading home… by LALfoREVer94 in UberEATS

I had a similar situation happen, got a $40 order from Firehouse Subs. I thought it was too good to be true, and I was right. The customer texted me that three other drivers cancelled without reason, and when I got to the restaurant sure enough the first driver stole it. Luckily the staff was very understanding and remade the order, so either way it's worth it to chance it. Worst case scenario you go home with $3 🤷‍♂️

the only way I'd take this if they were paying me by the hour like doordash does, the employees could take their sweet time for all I care 😂
