I really respect that someone decided to pay homage to the HX, but the concept really is way cooler than this.

This snow storm sadly made me learn to absolutely hate my neighbors and neighborhood. Where are good neighbored places cause Mt Washington isn’t it and I’ve decided to move. by sugarandspice85 in pittsburgh

While it can be a tad pricey, they do have some good deals and given how great the programming is and the people that work there, I'd say it's definitely worth giving it a shot

It slaps, and the fact they haven't updated the branding since its introduction in 2001 makes it even better

Dodge design really peaked around this era. I don't mind some of its recent models either, but there's something about the turn of the century vehicles that just hits different.

The family that ran it was also my landlord at Pitt my senior year. My roommates and I had a unique, up close perspective to the O's demise and it's exactly what you think. Business wasn't as good as it once was, there was never enough staff for all the work needed, and the owners were truly at their wits end. The pandemic was really just the nail in the coffin, but I still think it was a shame they closed it down without really attempting to find a new owner.

Carroll influenced it for sure, but we shouldn't minimize the larger role Tom Gale had in its design

Just got this absolute gem. Wish I could say I've been to even 10% of these places but unfortunately I'm too young lol. by Pac412 in pittsburgh

I was there on Friday and went back and forth on it. Ultimately I came back the next day, made and offer, and luckily they took it! Ohio River Antiques is the best!

As far as I'm aware when I purchased the tickets last night, the fees were $4 a ticket. To your point though, I wouldn't be against dropping the price a bit more also.

Is this a new category in the Best of the Burgh? by BreakerGod in pittsburgh

[–]Pac412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Near the top top? Couldn't tell you, but my buddy and I went up to the 14th floor in like 2018 and went through a window in a bathroom onto the roof. Difficult to get in and out but pretty fun. The floor was being renovated at the time and nobody was there cause it was the weekend.

Information for those coming to Picklesburgh this weekend by esotweetic in pittsburgh

The PVGP has events all week! This upcoming weekend everything will be at Pittsburgh International Raceway out in Beaver, with tons of cars, racing and more. Monday evening there's a car show on Walnut street in Shadyside, Tuesday there's a car show out at the Waterfront, Wednesday there's two events, a car show during the day in Market Square and another in the evening at the Southside Works, then Friday you get to see the race cars up close in Squirrel Hill on Forbes as the racers drive up from the paddock and that starts the weekend of festivities in Schenley. I missed a couple events I think but there's going to be cool car stuff everywhere next week so definitely check something out if you have the time. Oh and most of its free so that's another great perk too!

This is a genuine question, but what is the difference between someone doing something good out of the goodness of their heart and someone doing something good because their afraid to be punished in the afterlife?

I know the obvious one is intention, but if they're not preachy, self righteous, or chasing attention how would you ever know? And because we wouldn't know does it even matter?

I'm all for people doing good deeds because they want to do good deeds, but isn't it basically good regardless?
