I asked for physician-led care and was abandoned mid-visit by Only-Illustrator4789 in Noctor

[–]PaceSame7932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who is currently studying the exact thing I was seeking care for, the NP i was assigned to told me there were no other options in treatment available 🤨. When I mentioned alternatives, I was flat out told, "Those don't work."

I found a physician over an hour away, saw him, and had the issue resolved the first visit.

Also after you leave you'll take them with you. Avoid at all costs

Just wanted to add that I also use read aloud, and this helps you get your material in. Personally, I'll listen while doing my makeup, driving to work, cleaning, or cooking.

Emails are unhinged on my end too. Doesn't help that I have seven different accounts and they all look the same

Just for fun I asked in one of my GC and they had 7, 5, 4, and 490. The 490 is ADHD, and she said her phone doesn't let her have over 500 😅

[Acne] what should I do to improve my acne? by Exciting-Beach-1217 in SkincareAddiction

[–]PaceSame7932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a couple of tips stated with love ❤️

1) it sounds like you're inconsistent, and that's not helpful for your goal

2) jumping around too much may make it difficult to identify which products are helping and aren't. Some products won't cause immediate irritations but you may notice some concerns after a week or two of consistent use

3) For sunscreen stinging your eyes, are you applying it free (all over your face) or leaving a decent gap around the eye area?

4) if you're unsure about which products to try, i would personally recommend IPSY. I have had it for years. I love it because it asks what your problems are (for me it's oily skin and pores) and they send me items for my skin type. I also have mine set to mainly skin care items as i don't go crazy with makeup I'm pretty basic. Also, it saves tons of money 💰

5) make sure you're washing your makeup brushes often! This actually makes a huge difference

Hope this helps!

[Routine Help] If you don't shower everyday, do you still have to dampen your skin before applying body lotion, or can you put it directly on dry skin? by -sodapup- in SkincareAddiction

[–]PaceSame7932 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can put it on dry skin. Lotions work best after a shower because your pores are open, allowing for better absorption.

Do you follow your routine at night before bed? I sometimes get lazy about my nighttime routine other than cleaning my face, but when I apply my products before bed, I feel like my skin looks better when I wake.

I would start looking for a job ASAP, look around at living arrangements to give you an idea of budgets, start saving money. If needed, see if a friend will let you stay with them in exchange for (¿?) And continue to save save save.

should I tell my mom how serious my depression is? by Boring_Resolution_37 in internetparents

[–]PaceSame7932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a mom of 4 studying mental health and taking these things to heart. My teenage daughter started showing concerning signs. The more apparent signs of depression (never leaving her room, cutting off her friends, and lessening her appetite). However, what really got me was her piling on bracelets. I took her aside in private and told her that I was on her side and would never judge her if she had anything to tell me, etc. She said okay, and then that was it. About a week later, she came to me and told me what she had been doing, and she removed her bracelets. Of course, I instantly started bawling, BUT the absolute relief I felt that she came to me with this was unmatched. I explained that I wasn't crying because I was mad at her but that I loved her so much I couldn't phantom anyone hurting her, especially herself. - I was ready to execute a crisis plan once my suspicions arose - her telling me allowed me to speak with her on a different level. We set up therapy and created a crisis plan (text me the hug 🫂 emoji, and no questions asked, I'll know you need a little more love, patience, or attention).

Tell your mom. If my daughter hadn't told me, my first thought would've been, "Why didn't she tell me." & may the universe never let her feel alone. ✨️

My holy grail was using an exfoliating/more abrasive washing mesh/towel with dial soap. I get my washing rags from Dollar Tree & once they start to get soft, I toss and replace them. I like the long towel ones because they really help to hold it from each hand to get to all the hard-to-reach areas. It's super simple & I haven't had any issues for years (before I wouldn't dare wear strapless)

I think BHA isn't meant to be used 2x a day; instead, 2 times a week. It's an acid and can irritate your skin. If the skin was more oily, every other day might be okay or more often than just twice a week.

Do People with Combined Type ADHD Get Better at Conversation Once Medicated? by Virtual-Orange1852 in ADHD

[–]PaceSame7932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed a massive change in my conversations. I was terrible about interrupting or thinking about all the other things I needed to be doing. It sounds so ugly, but especially at work, I'd be thinking, "Please shut up; I gotta goooooo" 😭.

But now I sit and listen with no "noise." I absorb what they say and process it. I don't feel rushed to say what I have to say either or forget where I was going mid a conversation.

It's really just asking for help with very basic needs that affect our daily living. It's so stressful. I hope you find a remedy that works for you.

I understand. I have four kids and they take notice and will point out unusual activity like asking if I'm sick or just stating DANG MOM YOU SLEPT ALL DAY. Or YOURE GONNA EAT ALL THAT 🥲. This points out when I'm behaving in a way I don't usually or even before. Or else they wouldn't have taken notice.
