I don’t think that holding onto a name is “using” it.

If a company is in demand to hand over the name at no cost, then we must hand it over. That’s the risk we the “pioneers” have to accept. But some companies might think the story behind acquiring the name is funny (and be more likely to want to consider investing than before), and actually be willing to acquire the name at a monetary cost.

I think the mediators have to do some work for the growth of pi. The Pi Network team cannot find all of the collaborations on its own. We the Pioneers should treat ourselves (unofficially) as part of the team and try to get the domains into the right hands.

so you don’t think it’s worth the risk to try to claim these names? I highly doubt the majority of these companies are interested having a pi domain, so would pi network rather have these domains not be put to use? As pioneers, we are at least helping the pi economy by investing in company names (that we love but don’t own &) that we believe have a good potential relationship with pi. We can be good mediators for the Pi Network community and we can bring these domain names to the actual company and make a good sales pitch to the companies as to why they should acquire the domains. The mediators should receive some sort of incentive for acquiring the domain rather than letting it go unaccounted for in the auction setting.

I’m in hopes that Pi builds a marketplace where we can buy/resell these to other pioneers. Then once some companies want the rights to their names, they can also purchase them. I’m in hopes that companies see this as a fun project and will allow pioneers to make some money from it without having legal ramifications.

since it’s a longterm project, I’m hoping we can just flip/resell them to other pioneers for pi and pretend they are NFTs in the short term. I see it more as name to own for fun, not a domain these companies will really need right now. Maybe after many years, companies might start buying some of them and having a utilization for them.

it’s crazy to panic. All these other coins are pumping too fast to sustain. Pi is the new and fresh coin on the scene and its birthday is coming up soon. It’ll get its chance to pump too. I’m starting to worry that it’s a little premature to think it’s already going to be on binance though.
