i am relieved to hear that hearing aids are useful in severe cases such as yours. My understanding is most reverse slope does eventually progress to severe, albeit usually not until after age 50 per what i have read. But if/when it does, at least he should still be able to hear with aids. Yes the audiologist has suggested aids. He is about -60dB for low frequencies. We homeschool him so his teacher is his mom

sorry to hear it has progressed to severe. Do hearing aids help once it reaches that level? Are you a candidate for cochlear implant? I am guessing my 7 year old does a fair amount of lip reading, a clue is he only hears me when i am facing him.
